Angelica's pov
The room I was in held a subtle heat to it. My skin felt clammy as I felt the cool metal surface under my back. I groaned, knowing exactly where I was. I was where everyone in the prison goes once being injured. The prison. The prison? The prison! I shot straight up, only to fall straight back down and groaning in pain when my head hit the cold surface.
I heard a small gasp and a few chuckles from across the room. I looked up to see Daryl and his signature Dixon smirk planted on his face. I rolled my eyes, having them land on my baby.
Ally's crisp blue orbs began to water. "We seem to have the reunion way too often." I joked hoarsely. She jumped into my arms and buried her small malnourished body close to mine. "We have to get you something to eat baby." I whispered. "Can you get me some water honey?" I asked. I wanted to speak to Daryl, but didn't want to ask her to leave. She nodded before swiftly leaving the room, calling for Rick and Hershel.
Daryl came and stood in the spot Ally once stood in. I smiled lightly. He looked down at me for a few seconds before pressing his rough lips against mine. I immediately kissed back and it reminded me of high-school. Of sneaking into the janitors closet at exactly 1:23 pm instead of going to class so we could wax the principles car. Of kissing each other in the halls. Of bickering with him to wear a suit to prom. Of leaving prom early because he ruined his suit.
A/N I'm actually laughing at what I just wrote omfg^^
These memories flew back to me as I kissed him.
"Yea mom! Get some!" I heard a high pitched voice that sounded all to much like mine yell. I groaned against his lips. Daryl chuckled before pulling away. In the doorway stood Carl with his arm wrapped around Ally's shoulders. She was leaned against him looking contempt, smirking at me. My glass of water was in her hand. She took a sip, handed me the glass, and left the room, Carl on her waist.
"USE PROTECTION!" Daryl shouted after them.
I laughed loudly at his crude comment. "Wow what a great dad you are Dixon." I joked. "Yea.. I ain't used to that yet." He said lowly.
I swung my legs over the side of the table. I shrieked in the utmost of pain, remembering my knee cap that had shattered. Daryl rushed over, supporting my leg. He gently lifted it back on the table. "Take it easy darlin." He spoke softly and looked at me with guilt. "Daryl... Merle did this."
He looked completely shocked. "Baby brother hows about yo-" Merle's figure stood in the doorway in front of me. He closed his mouth ( A/N for once )
"Well hey sugar tits!" He had the same goofy grin on his face he did when he would get high. Daryl pushed him out of the room, following him.
That was three months ago. It's been three months since the passing of Merle Dixon. It's been three months since Daryl has even looked at me.
But somehow, the prison remained happy. We now had taken in people from Woodbury, and had a small community going. I sat next to Ally, taking small bites of my venison. Carl sat across from her, making funny faces that made her laugh. I turned to face her, pecking her cheek. "I will be right back lovebug." She nodded before returning her attention to Carl.
I made my way to where Daryl and Carol were standing. Carol despised me. I, however, thought of her as someone to be looked up too. She had come so far in life, yet she hated me. She sent me the nastiest glare as I approached. If looks could kill.
As I approached, Carol excused herself. Daryl refused to make eye contact with me. "Daryl, please talk to me." I pleaded. He finally met my gaze. I smiled slightly. "The deer was good." I said, awkwardly distributing my weight from one foot to the next. He nodded.
I did the only thing I could think of. I grabbed the collar of his vest and kissed him. He began to kiss back, and soon the whole prison courtyard was quiet. We slowly pulled away and everyone in the courtyard began to cheer. I turned rosy well Daryl tried to avoid everyone's gaze. The cheers soon quieted down. My gaze met Carols. She rolled her eyes and stormed back to the prison. I chuckled at the thought of her being jealous.
Everyone went back to their normal chores. I smirked once my ice blue orbs met the calming blue ones of Daryl. He smiled. His leaned down and kissed my forehead. "Good to ave you back." He mumbled in my ear. I felt myself begin to grow happy. I smiled.
Ally suddenly jumped up and threw up all over the grass. Carl held her hair back, whispering in her ear and rubbing her back comfortingly. I smiled slightly, making my way over to her.
"You ok love bug?" I asked her. She began to cough and hack and I became worried. Suddenly, screams filled the prison. "Carl, stay here with her!" He nodded, fright evident in his blue orbs. I grabbed my pistol and some of my throwing knives out of my pocket and rushed into the cell block.
Walkers had invested the whole place, feasting on the residents of Woodbury that stayed here. A loud pitches shriek of a child could be heard, and I recognized it to be Lizzie's. I ran to the scream, seeing a walker on her neck. I retracted my wrist and flung a single knife straight through its eye. I panted, trying to regain my breath.
"LOOK OUT!" Lizzie shrieked. Four walkers made their way towards me, blood coming from their eye sockets and mouth. One I recognized; a young boy about Allys age. I believe his name was Patrick. Another came from behind, catching me off guard. I regained my balance and began to throw knives threw the skulls of the people I once conversed with. I pulled out my pistol and shot the last one, running out of knives.
Silence.
That was all that was heard in the cell block. Muffled cries and pants were heard echoing of the walls. I was coated in blood, and my mind went to Daryl. The familiar angel winged vest soon came around the corner, and he ran to me. He gripped me tightly in his grasp, as I did the same.
Rick stepped forward.
"Alright. I guess we need to have a council meeting."
