Nightmare
"Whoa, my head... What happened?" I woke up with a pounding head ache and blurry vision. I propped myself up against the pillows and blinked trying to clear my sight.
"You're awake!" Robert exclaimed with a far too happy voice. I still couldn't see properly but I turned my head in the direction of his husky voice.
"You used too much energy, when you experimented with fire. You've been out for a day..." He explained a couple of days. No, it felt like I'd just slept for a couple of hours.
"What day is it?" I asked, when I reached for Robert's hand I realised how cold it was. But I didn't comment on it.
"Christmas Eve..." I was relieved that I hadn’t missed Christmas. I think I'd cry if I did.
"Don't worry, I dropped Erin's and Jamie's presents off to them, and I also gave Erin Nathan's so she can pass it to him. He's still in town..." I really appreciated Robert's help because to be honest I forgot all about the presents I had brought. Within half an hour I was in a deep sleep again. Until my dream made a turn for the worst.
I was standing in a old abandoned chapel. There were people all around me wearing dark cloaks. With every step they took the more terrified I got.
“RUN CARMEN, RUN!” Amelia screamed in my head. I tried to but there was no way out. I was searching through Amelia’s spell book hastily but I couldn’t find a spell to help me. The cloaked figures were getting closer and closer to me and Amelia was still screaming at me inside of my head.
That was when I woke up. Panting for breath. I was in Robert's arms, safe. I looked out of the window and saw the snow falling in front of the bright full moon, once again the room was as cold as Robert's arms. I spoke the ancient words and the candles in the room immediately had a flame burning on them. I had sweat on my forehead from the horror of my dream and I was still breathing heavily. Hopefully I wouldn’t have that dream ever again.

I woke up to Robert twisting my hair around his tanned fingers. I enjoyed the feeling of it for awhile but then let out a sigh to let him know I was up.
"Merry Christmas Carmen," He murmured in his rough morning voice.
"Merry Christmas Robert." I replied turning around to show the big grin on my face. I loved Christmas so much. My Dad always made it my favourite day of the year, ever since he left it hadn't been the same. I pecked Robert on the lips still smiling into the white duvet. I glanced around his now morning lit room and saw the gifts I got for him and Viola on his cabinet. I stroked his cheek and was reminded how cold he was. Now I had an idea, and since he never refused me anything and it was Christmas I had a shot at getting it. I pulled him up on his humongous bed. I placed my wrist against his lips and nodded in encouragement. I knew he caught on when I heard him refuse, but after I sat there still staring at his he drank from me.
Once again I felt the pinch of his teeth but the pain was quickly replaced with exhaustion, after Robert took what he needed my wound healed before my eyes. I was glad he hadn’t marked me as his I don’t want to be anyone’s possession.
"Present time!" I said before jumping of the bed and grabbing his gift wrapped box, when I returned to his side he was already in front of the fire waiting with mine. I placed myself next to him and we began to un-wrap each other’s gifts. My smile grew when I saw the beautiful locket in the small box. It was a silver simple chain with a matching oval locket which had small grey and white stones place on it. I opened it to read the print inside. 'Dragostea mea lasă nimic veni între noi dragostea mea pentru tine este puternic şi adevărat.'
