A man walked to me one hour.
His face and his wounds looked sour.
His left arm looked devoured.
I helped him so he wouldn't cower.
Asked his name.
His name was Zach
and now, I have his back.
Side by side
we stood together.
To help each life
with every piece of leather.
We kept our hope and we tried our best.
That day was the official test.
We shared water in small amounts.
We shared food in fair counts.
We stood tall while inside was doubt.
We had it hidden for the simple pout.
So much more we had to do.
Our relationship grew and grew.
We sat one night and he asked my story.
I couldn't tell him for I would with glory.
Such a weird world for he contained magic.
He made my brain feel like plastic.
"Tell me your story with its ultimate glory."
And here is how you'll hear of my story.
