I woke with a loud bang on the beds in the dorms. It was Four.

"Alright initiates, get up I want you in the Pit in 15 minutes." He said then walked out leaving all of us groaning for another 5 minutes of sleep. I jumped out from under to covers and quickly stripped off my clothes from yesterday then put on my black jeans, a black sleeveless top and my black trainers. Then I tied my long, dark hair up into a high ponytail, to keep it out of the way. I walked over to the already ready Liv.

"You ready for our big day?" I said sarcastically. She just giggled and said, "Of course! What about you and Eric." She laughed and wiggled her eyebrows. I snickered.

"Yeah right." I said. "Wanna go now?" I asked her.

"Sure lets go. We will just get the guys down there." She said and I followed her out of the door and along the long, dark hallways.

"Today you will be learning a few things. You will learn how to shoot, how to throw knives and how to fight." Four shouted to all of us.

"First we will start with shooting up on the rooftop. Go." He said and we all scurried away. When we got there, he showed us the correct stance and how to load the gun. I walked over to a target and began to aim for the bullseye. On my first shot, I missed completely and I heard a snicker behind me.

"C'mon, that all you got Brains?" The voice said tauntingly. Obviously Eric. I shot again and this one actually hit the target. I was about to shoot for a third time when I felt my legs being kicked apart into the correct stance and two rough hands grabbed my hips and swivelled them slightly to the right.

"Keep tension here." He placed a hand on my stomach. I felt his body heat radiating onto me and I felt his chest against my back.

"Now shoot." He breathed into my ear and I could feel his hot breath on the back of my neck. I pulled the trigger and, much to my surprise, the bullet hit just a few inches away from the bullseye. I turned around to him, looking shocked. Eric just smirked at me and shook his head.

"Not bad Brains. Not bad at all." He said then walked off. After about another 30 minutes of on and off shooting, Four took us back inside to start throwing knives, which I didn't see the point in. It was Eric who demonstrated this time. Every single throw hit the centre of the target.

"You must always keep your eye on the target. Never loose focus." He told us.

"Everyone go take 3 knives then stand in front of the target and take your positions. Do not collect the knives until I tell you to." He said then motioned to the table behind us. I went over and picked up 3 knives then stood at one of the targets, getting ready to throw when I heard footsteps behind me.

"God, you may as well be a Stiff. Remember the position I showed you earlier?" Eric said to me then continued before I had the chance to answer,

"Yeah, well the same applies to this. Keep tension in your stomach and relax your shoulders." He said from behind me. So I did what he told. I separated my feet and relaxed my shoulders. I brought the knife up to the back of my neck and felt the cool metal on my skin, then I thrust my arm forward, towards the target. I looked up to see that, my very first throw, had landed straight in the bullseye. I turned to Eric.

"Thank you, really." I said then smiled at him. He just stared at me then walked back along the line, away from me. I started throwing the knives again, my aim getting better each time, never missing the target, much to my surprise. After around 20 minutes of knife throwing Four told us to go get some lunch, so that's exactly what we did. I walked with Liv and we talked about training.

"So Eric seemed quite interested in you, don't you think." She said then laughed. I was confused.

"What?" I asked her.
