Chapter Eight: Fourth Night
~Marco's POV~
When we reached the lobby, he came out first. I knew he would never let that happen again. He's just being nice so he smiled.
"William!" I called. I'm gonna ask him to wait for me because I need a drink from the vending machine.
"What?" He scornfully said. Removing the headphones.
"Wait for me. I'll get a drink for us."
"No, thanks. I ate dinner before going out."
It's freaking 6 PM and he already ate dinner! The sun is still shining! Then I remembered he's a tourist, maybe it's different for them, way back home.
I nodded and ran furiously. I helped myself with a canned soy milk and gestured him to go on.

We reached Bayfront at 7PM and went for the Gardens by the Bay. From the moment we entered the cloud forest (with the giant falls) up to the secret garden and then to the exit, his shutter button did not have stop clicking.
I can't blame him.
It was a dome full of orchids, statues, stones, caricatures and woodworks. I remember how he said he was a nature lover, I guess he really loved it here.
The grand tour ended at 8:24 and I knew exactly where to go. We went to watch the light show.
He was smiling like a child. It somehow showed his vulnerable side and the dimples I never saw before came to show.
He was watching the lights, I was watching him.
By the time it was over, I am more than hungry. I am starved! Literally. And whenever I am starved, my fingers tremble. I think everybody experiences the same thing.
I can't bring up the idea of eating to him because he already had his dinner. I actually had no intention to show him my trembling hands because he's smart enough to know what it meant. Plus he's having a good time. Why bother?
Then my phone rang. Shit.
As I took out my phone, it fell off the ground with a loud clanging. It caught William's attention and bent down immediately to pick it up for me.
As I reached out for the phone, he grumpily refused to hand it over.
"Look at me." He said with stern voice.
So I did.
"Why the hell didn't you tell me you're hungry? It's as simple as saying hello!" Look who's talking. He doesn't even talk to me!
"I-I-I thought t-that it would only interrupt your g-g-good time." I said.
He didn't answer. Instead he shoved the phone on my hand and ran away. Trust me I'm in no good shape to chase him so I chose to stay.
I went for the closest bench and fumbled with my phone. I deleted StarHub's message and put it to sleep.
What have I done?
I buried my face in my palms and wondered where he went. Or how he would get home if he really ran away from me.
I did not know he cared. Or somehow he has concern for me.
Suddenly, somebody decided to sit with me so I looked up. He was holding a tall serving of chocolate drink and a box of doughnuts.
"Eat." Was all he said.
