It feels so nice to wake up in my old bed. When I wake up, I see that my mom is at work. Looks like me and Liam are alone today. We've been here for about a month now and tomorrow is our one year anniversary. It's crazy to think its been a year. I get up to go to the bathroom. I'm disappointed to see that I don't have my period yet. What the hell. After I wash my hands, I look at myself in the mirror. I see that my stomach looks a bit bigger. Plus it feels funny. It feels like I'm going to throw up again. And I do.
I rest my head on the side of the toilet bowl and think. Big belly, morning sickness, late period. Am I pregnant? This time for sure. "You okay, love?" I hear Liam knock on the bathroom door. "Yeah, just going to the bathroom." I flush down all of the vomit and open the door. "It sure didn't sound like it." He has a worried look on his face. "I'm okay, Babe." I try to reassure him. "Where are you going?" I notice he's dressed already.
"Just an errand. I'll be back in an hour." He kisses my forehead, then leaves. This actually gives me an opportunity to go buy a pregnancy test. A little after Liam leaves, I walk down to the drugstore and buy it. I rush back home and to the bathroom. Peeing on a stick. I never liked the idea of peeing on a stick that can determine your future. I set it down and wait.
About five minutes later, it was ready. Even Spike came into the bathroom to see what's going on. I look down at the test and see a little purple plus sign. Pregnant. I have to remind myself to breathe. "Oh boy. Looks like you're gonna be an uncle, Spike."
I look at my dog who has somewhat of an idea of what I'm talking about. I go put on my flats and walk down to the doctor's office. I walk into the building and to the front desk. "Hello. How may I help you?" A nurse looks up from the computer. "Can I get a pregnancy test done?" I can't believe I'm asking this again. "Yes, come with me." She gets up from the desk and leads me to the backroom.
"Alright please go to the bathroom in this." She hands me a cup. After that, I go wait in a room. I shift around on the paper covered table, nervously. Everything's a blur when the doctor comes in. "Hello again." He chuckles. He's right. It's the same doctor as last time. He sits down in a stool in front of me. "Well.. It looks like you're pregnant and have been for a while." He looks through the paperwork.
I feel like crying. In happiness. "How long?"
"About a month. You're definitely pregnant." He gets up and shakes my hand. "Congratulations!"
"Thanks." I smile. I gotta tell Liam! Wait, I should save it for tomorrow. When I get back home, Liam's already there. "I was wondering where you were." Liam gets up from the couch to hug me. "I went to go get a soda." Wow what a terrible lie. But it worked. "Oh okay."
I guess the morning after Niall's party was a hangover and possibly when we conceived the baby. "You excited for tomorrow?" Liam smiles at me. "You know it." I smirk. "How about we go out to dinner tonight with your mum?" Liam suggests. "Oh that sounds nice. But my mom won't be home until 8." I tell him. "It's three right now. We can just wait." Liam says.
~ Later ~
"Don't you think we should get ready? Your mum should be home any minute." Liam mentions. 'Good idea." I go to my suitcase and pick out some jeans and a long sleeve black striped shirt. Thank goodness the shirt is a bit loose, even though you can still see my growing tummy.
"Your mum is here!" Liam yells from the living room. I take one last look in the mirror and gently place my hand on my stomach. "I love you." I'm so happy I'm going to have a baby. I go to the living room to Liam and my mom all ready. "Where are we going for dinner tonight?" My mom asks. "I don't know. Where should we go?" I ask them both. "Pizza kitchen?" Liam suggests.
