Pulling my scarf closer to my I shivered stepping outside, Liam right behind me. "You did good today, I almost want to cancel the interviews I have tomorrow but someone refuses to work for me" Liam groaned childishly, I chuckled handing over the last of my notes before standing up on my toes and giving him a kiss on his cheek."I'll see you this Friday for dinner and make sure you actually cook something this time, I'm tired of store bought reduced pie. Your a millionaire Liam, start acting like one" he gave me a smile before waving and walking back inside. My smile dropped.
Clutching my stomach I closed my eyes for the millionth time today. It started to ache after I had lunch with the boys which meant this wasn't a good sign, I guess I should have known. It happens every time I take a break from eating to save up money then suddenly start eating again. I should have ordered soup but I had soup. Guess I have to tonight.
The doors to Foster Inc. opened and out came Mr. Sterling, three men in Black suites walked up to him and surrounded him. My eyebrows furrowed, he was bodyguards, his own personal bodyguard! Rich people, I thought to myself.
His eyes caught mine for the millionth time today. During the meeting Mr. Sterling couldn't seem to take his eyes off of me. Every couple of minutes I could feel his patronizing days but every time I looked to see if he was truly watching me he's look away. Liam soon caught on to our game of tango and pulled me even closer to him, leaving no space left before he glared at Mr. Sterling. Sterling on smiled a mocking smile showing off his sharp set of teeth before he settled back down and continued with the meeting.
Closer to the end I felt his gaze again and instead of looking away, he met my gaze for what felt like forever but was really a couple of minutes.
"Ms. Foster, Mr. Fosters sister right" he walked over, I nodded shifting my gaze to the ground. "I couldn't help but overhear the conversation you had with your brother, are you by any chance looking for a job?" I frowned meeting his gaze.
"I don't need a job especially since you'll be partnering up with my brother in the next two to three months. If I needed one I'd ask him" he frowned "how do you know I'll get the deal?" I shrugged "I know Liam like the back of my hand, you're getting the partnership but you better not screw him over or I'll be at your house with a baseball bat and a shit ton of lawyers" I smiled. Mr. Sterling forced another one of his award winning smiles as I walked to the edge of the sidewalk.
Turning back to Mr. Sterling I gave him another smile and a wave "Lady are you crossing or what?" Asked a random man with a stiff nod I crossed the round and headed back home.

I opened the door of my apartment sighing in contentment when the calm smell of Cashmere greeted me.
Smiling softly I looked around the place I call home. My apartment is like a loft with an open concept to the living room and kitchen, the island separated the kitchen from the living room. A small hall lead to what I assume as a walk in closet and full bathroom. Walking further into the room I looked to my right were there was a set of stairs cut off and a wall of dirty windows. Most of my walls were windows but hardly any of them you could see through. The rest of my house is furnished with flea market and thrift shop junk I found over the years.
Walking down the hall I stripped of my clothes and got into the shower. I needed to clean up and get some rest before my night shift of the supermarket came afterwards I will go grocery shopping.
I stepped out of the shower and dried off before applying lotion. I checked the time. Four fourth-five which meant I had less than an hour to sleep. I laid back, closed my eyes and let the world escape me.
