I followed behind Brysen, giggling and tripping on almost every possible stick.

"You know you're going to have to shut up." Brysen commented, stopping and turning to face me, a sly smile on his lips.

"Only if you tell me where we are going." I whined, not enjoying this surprise location very much.

"Somewhere where you need to be quiet." Finally Brysen led me off to the road and down an empty street until we came face to face with a barbed wire fence. Walking along it Brysen stopped every now and then to look around, wary of being caught.

"How many times have you done something like this?" I asked as we passed a sign latched onto the fence that read 'trespassers will be prosecuted.' I swallowed the lump in my throat, maybe doing something illegal wasn't the best idea.

"Plenty." I almost stopped completely in my tracks at this, how many times had he gotten in trouble with the cops? "But don't worry, we'll be fine." He smiled and continued leading me along the fence, his grip on my hand tight.

It wasn't long before Brysen found a gaping hole, and slowly he pried it open even more before gesturing for me to climb through. Once reaching the other side I wasn't too sure about my crazy idea, I was acting on an impulse. I waited patiently for Brysen to climb through before grabbing his hand and opening my mouth to change my mind. Instead Brysen kissed me softly, before starting to run, dragging me along behind him.

"Where exactly are we?" I asked when Brysen finally stopped running and begun to scan the area.

"What looks like to be an abandoned work site." His gaze snapped to the distance where we both saw a light shine, "that still seems to be guarded. Come on." He started moving again, and I had no other choice but to follow, obediently like a dog.

-

We had avoided three guards before reaching the back of the site, where the guards had seemed to ignore. In the distance was what seemed to be a hay shed that Brysen had spotted, so as expected he led us towards it. The wood was old and splinter prone. No doubt it had been up for a long time, and was severely affected by the weather.

"I don't think we should be here." I commented as I looked around the empty shed. I had initially expected it to be filled with hay, or even old farming equipment, but instead it was empty.

"We weren't meant to be here in the first place Bexley, come on, loosen up." He smiled and pulled me towards the middle of the shed. I smiled as best as I could and leaned my head on his chest, listening to him breathe. It was dead silent, not a noise to be heard. Then, the soft wind picked up and touched my cold cheeks. I burrowed my head further into Brysen, trying to hide from the wind.

"What's up Bex, are you crying." He pulled away and examined my face, worry clearly evident all over his features.

"No." I chuckled, mustering the best smile I could, "just cold." I hummed, digging my head back into his chest. Brysen chuckled too and wrapped his arms even tighter around me. I melted into his arms and felt my muscles relax, no guards had walked near here, I was safe.

"Would you look at that." Brsyen said before stepping out and grabbing both my hands. leading me towards the far end of the shed. I followed behind, confused at what was so interesting with the wall. And then I noticed it, half a ladder.

"Brysen! We could get hurt up there." I protested when he jumped to pull the ladder down, the rafters didn't look stable.

"No, look." I moved over to see what he was pointing at and I stared in amazement. There was a blocked off area, a deliberate spot that would support the weight of many people at once. Brysen hoisted him self up and then leaned over the edge, holding out his hand for me to take. The ladder only helped me up halfway up the wall, the rest was up to Brysen as he pulled me up and over the edge.
