Clara grabbed his hand and ran dragging him along to an area where a lot of people seemed to be gathered. Not people though-aliens. Real aliens. Aliens are real, just like this planet. It was difficult for Cas to process but in retrospect it was no stranger to some people than the monsters him and the Winchesters delt with everyday. Which must be how The Doctor and Clara saw this as normal, it was everyday for them.
Clara had grabbed his hand, and Sam had grabbed the flapping end of his trench coat, and Dean had grabbed Sam's long hair (which caused Sam to yell and Dean to laugh and let go). In short they all ran to catch up with the surprisingly fast woman who was determined to explore the new place set before her.
Their pounding footsteps echoed on the hard metal ground as they slowed down the closer they came to the crowd of aliens. Now that they were close to them they could tell that the inhabitants of the metal planet, were also made completely of metal themselves. Yet as their group stopped themselves to observe, Cas saw that unlike robots Dean had showed him in films, these people-he had to stop calling them that-moved and bent their hard metal skin effortlessly. They moved, and acted, and even talked, just like humans.
It was beautiful. Impossible, confusing, exciting, and beautiful. Some of them appeared silver, others gold, but most were their own unique combinations of ever kind of metal imaginable and some that Castiel was pretty sure didn't exist, at least on earth or in heaven. And they were alive. Living, breathing metal people.
When he finally managed to take his eyes off the scene he looked and saw his group had done that a while ago and were now talking amongst themselves. He couldn't tell if they had thought and felt the same as things as him so he kept it to himself. After all his "people skills" were still a bit "rusty". Instead he spoke up by asking The Doctor a question. "How is it that they speak English?"
"Ah, Excellent question, Castiel," The Doctor noted happily, "But it is a bit difficult to explain... Basically exposure to the TARDIS translation circuit a telepathic field that gets inside your brain and allows for the instantaneous translation of most languages spoken or written in the universe." The Doctor turned to see the responses of the Sam and Dean.
Sam looked worried and Dean was obviously lost. "Oh I see," Cas answered. The brothers turned to the angel in both awe and annoyance. The Doctor sighed. "Sam, don't worry it doesn't effect your brain or anything. It also wears off after a while away from the TARDIS. And Dean, in other words you hear Ketahran as English and they hear English as Ketahran," The Doctor said. "Doctor you could have just said that to start with," Clara replied in her general sassy tone.
"We're wasting time, guys! Let's go check out this place," Dean said. Just as Dean finished saying this is when Cas noticed that the bustling area that was full of life, had gone silent. They turned to the crowd metal people who all stood staring at them. A few held expressions of shock and interest, but most looks terrified. Of Cas. Of all of them. They were terrified of us because they'd never seen anyone like us-human-before.
A man with some extra metal where humans had biceps stepped through the crowd to face them. They way he was "dressed" made him look far more important than everyone else there. That and way the rest of the crowd reacted to his appearance made it pretty obvious to Cas that he was some type of leader. He was the first to speak to them since they landed. "Who are you? How did you get here?"
