Go Our Separate Ways

You, who use to mean a lot to me,

now mean almost nothing, our memories washed away by the sea.

Part of me wants to let this all go

but I just need you to know...

how much you use to mean to me,

and how much I want you to see.

I know we can never be the same.

No matter how many obstacles we overcame.

Our pinkies came loose froms it's fragile knot.

And no, it is not anyones fault.

I guess it was just meant to be

and that is what we both needed to see.

It tears through me like a knife.

I hope it will be different in another life.

But for now this is good bye.

Let us both go our separate ways in life.
