"Four bases, three strikes, two teams, One winner. It's not just a game, but a way of life. Softball, this is my desiny." - Anonymous
I have played since I was four.
Running bases, hoping to score.
I remember when I first struck out.
Walking to the dugout, starting to pout.
I love the feeling of catching a ball.
The rush of adrenaline, ready to call.
I don't know what I would do without softball.
I just know I would not have anything at all.
I always find the strength to finish a game.
Even if we are losing and doing lame.
Because I know I will get another chance,
to do better next time and continue this dance.
I never lose hope in the game that I love.
Because I know I will never have enough.
I know I will be sad my senior year.
And that is why I will forever hold it dear.
After my senior year I will be hit by doom.
I will have to give all this up soon.
Even though I can't play anymore anywhere there.
I know I will always be able to....here.
