>>> Plan 19: Be a Smooth Cool Machine With A Perv Card

Will Xaviers

"You sure you can prove that when you haven't even read the book yourself?" My reply caused her to stop in the middle of opening up the jar of mayonnaise.

Fuck, am I actually going to do this!?

Better to get over with.

Yeah, like she isn't already finding ways to get away from you. Let's add you being a furry beast to the list of 'Reasons why to kick Will out of my life'.

"What?" When all she got was a smirk from me as a reply, she seemed bewildered, her eyebrows furrowed together in an adorable way and I could have said I wasn't replying to make her curious but actually I felt my throat closing up as my heart sped up. "How did you know that?"

I just stared at her, my mind blank of all words, hell I couldn't even revise all my alphabets if I was told to do so. I opened my mouth but nothing came out.

Smooth, real smooth, William.

"Uh....I....so Frankenstein, huh? One .....weird book, right? Who even uses that kind of English now?" A nervous laugh escaped me and Vanessa's eyes narrowed at me but thankfully she let it drop as she continued with the sandwich making.

After ten minutes, we were seated on the couch in the living room, both of us on the opposite sides of the couch, the sandwich in my hand. I took a bite of it, gulping it down with the water, looking anywhere but at her.

Oh god, this is so awkward.

Get control of this situation you ass.

Be cool, be calm, be bloody William Xaviers, the smooth cool machine!

"How is the sandwich?" the brunette asked, looking at the sandwich in my hands rather than at me. I grinned and gave her a thumbs up with my free hand before placing the plate on the coffee table and turning towards her. I noticed a slight white spot on her cheek, probably the after effects of making the sandwich in that kind of awkward atmosphere.

"You have mayonnaise on your cheek, Nessa." Her eyes flickered towards mine, her hand clasped in her lap and I could hear her heart skip a beat which made me gain the bit of confidence I needed. I scooted closer to her until I was inches from her, turning towards her, I raised my hand while looking into her dark eyes. Her mouth was slightly open but she didn't pull away when my fingers lightly brushed away the small drop of mayonnaise right beside the crook of her lips.

One point for Xaviers, WOOP!

Gathering up some courage, I cupped her cheeks and leaned my forehead against hers. Our breathes mingling in and our hearts beating erratically together, I closed my eyes and savored the feel of her skin, her scent which was that strange yet endearing combination of vanilla and old books.

My heart flipped as I felt her hand land on my cheek, her fingers trailing down to my jaw and I shuddered under her touch.

This girl has way too much control over me yet I can't help but adore her and I know it's not just the mates thing, I know. She is whom I am meant to be with, even if I was human, I would have eventually chosen her.

"I really like you, Vanessa." I whispered, my eyes still squeezed shut as my thumb gently caressed the curve of her jaw. "I know why you won't trust me, but just give me a real chance and I will show you that this isn't just a game to me, please. You're probably too good for me but as they say in those cheesy movies, I can't just let you go without trying my best, you are too good for me to give up on so quickly. And even if you don't feel that way, I probably am not going to leave you alone as bad as that sounds, it's the truth. I adore you."
