>>> Plan 13: Be a Fucking Girly Wolfy

Will Xaviers

“They wanted some directions to the hottest club in town?” when I remained stout, she sighed dramatically, twirling a strand of hair around her finger. “It’s nothing you should be bothered about, little werewolf.”

She did not just call me a little werewolf.

I growled at her threateningly, my voice getting deeper. “They were in my pack’s territory so I should be bothered as well as my father and the future Alpha.”

When Cameron just rolled her eyes dramatically I couldn’t help but let out another growl. She just sighed as a reply and inspected her nails.

Pompous ass vampire.

“Look, they won’t come in your territory again so don’t worry about them. They are my problem, alright?” I could see that she was serious about not telling me anything about them so I just shrugged and nodded.

Less blood suckers to deal with.

“If they do come here again, then I will get the answers out of you one way or another and if they hurt anyone in this town, you are going to be held responsible for it.” She snorted in reply, almost making me lash out at her but I took a deep breath and replied calmly. “We only allow one blood sucker in this town and that’s you and that’s only because you have a rep about not killing any nice guy.”

“Of course, I do help to lower the crime rate in this tiny little town run by you tiny little wolves.” Her voice had a mocking note in it but I ignored it completely and flipped her off before making my way back to my house for some peace and quiet.

The next day I went for my shift normally albeit on the way I received a threat from my parents about inviting Vanessa to a dinner as they were literally dying to see her. I smiled at my mom’s enthusiasm but when she had indirectly mentioned the gift bag of condoms she had given me, I had run out of there as fast as I could.

What happened to normal parents?

When I entered the bookstore that day, there were even less people in than usual. The counter guy gave me a calculating look which I returned with a smirk of my own. Finding Vanessa between all the books was slightly harder as I only had the vanilla aroma to guide me to her but when I saw her, my face quickly turned up into a smile. Once again her back was turned to me so she didn’t even notice me. She was quite an oblivious girl.

“So tonight at 7, I’ll pick you up.” Came a masculine voice from the phone she was holding against her ear. I froze slightly, my smile dropping.

“Yeah yeah I know, Aaron. I’ll be ready by then.” Vanessa chuckled slightly and for a minute I wanted to find this Aaron and scare him shitless so he will never even look at Vanessa.

Must stay calm, Must stay calm. He can’t be that good. But he is going out with Vanessa who isn’t even willing to go out with me, what the fuck, man.

“I’m so excited for this.” I bet you are, you little shit. “it’s hard to get you away from that fucking bookshop.” Aaron the ass laughed at the end before saying goodbye and hanging up. I glared at the phone as Vanessa turned to face me, her plump lips pulled up into a beautiful smile that I did not put there.

“Oh hey Will.” When her grin didn’t fade, I clenched my jaw and just nodded at her slightly.

“Hey.” Dragging out the ‘e’ I strode towards where she stood sandwiched between the shelves of sci-fi and encyclopedias. “Who were you talking to?”

She tilted her head questionably to a side, the escaped hair strands from her bun falling into her eyes as they inspected me with a observing glint, “A friend.”

Sure, just a fucking friend.

“A friend you are going on a date with?” I asked calmly even though some of the jealousy seeped into my tone. Her eyes widened at my tone and she backed away, clearing her throat.

Why the fuck does she look adorable? It’s hard to be angry then.

“Uh….what?” I could see her eyes clouding with confusion but instead of backing away, I leaned even closer to her and once again trapped her with her back against the bookshelf and my hands blocking her from both sides. She breathed in sharply as I lowered my face to her level. My nose trailed along her jaw, going down her throat and stopping at the crook of her neck.

God, how can anyone control hormones?

“Bad idea to go on a date with someone else, Nessa.” I whispered, slowly planting a gentle kiss on the crook of her neck. She shuddered slightly and I smiled at the reaction. I pulled back to see her eyes squeezed shut, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Her lips moved slightly and I held back, trying not to crash my lips against her.

Must not push it.

“You should ditch Aaron and go out with me again.” I stated, and her eyes widened in surprise, her lips parting slightly and I let out a laugh before walking away from her without hearing her reply.

Should I stop doing that?

The rest of the shift went by in putting back books on shelves, learning some names of famous books and making sure I didn’t mess up again. Whenever I got confused with the books, I had to ask the moustache guy for help since I refused to even see Vanessa for the whole day. No matter how cool I acted in front of her, I was freaking out inside. I didn’t want to scare her away by pushing too far but at the same time I wanted her to know that she was mine from the moment I saw her.

By the end of my shift, my hands were sweating in nervousness. I had thought about all the ways this could blow up in my face and I was really not happy with how imaginative my brain could be when it was imagining my worst nightmare.

It was funny how just a few weeks back I would have thought that finding my mate would have been my worst nightmare and now it was losing her or never getting to know her. I sighed at how girly I sounded.

“Oye, hot shot. Come here and find this book.” Mustache guy was also a bitter guy and I made my way towards him to see him waving a piece of paper in front of me.

‘Prince of Deception.’ Was written on it in messy black handwriting.

“Seriously, man, can’t you get someone who actually knows about the books in this god forsaken shop!” When his eyes just narrowed at me, I blew through my lips in frustration and took the small piece of paper. “Which genre is it?”

I swear I saw his eyes glint evilly as he answered with the ghost of a smirk on his face, “Romance.”

Throwing him a dirty look, I walked to the said section, just as I turned I crashed into none other than my mate and Cameron the mosquito best friend.

“Ooo look, little wolfy is here.” Blondie exclaimed, looking at me with a mischievous smirk.

Did she tell Vanessa I am a werewolf? Will she think I am crazy? Holy shit, what the fuck did Cameron just do!?

“Wolfy?” Vanessa seemed more confused than freaked out.

Thank the fucking lord, she doesn’t know.

“Yeah, he seems a bit furry to me so I have named him wolfy.” Cameron explained, her smirk annoying the crap out of me.

“It does match him”

What?

“It does not! I am not even hairy!” I blurted out, gesturing towards my body. “I mean look at me! I am the epitome of perfection!”

“You know when you stand like that, you kind of look girly.” Came the amused voice of my mate, making me quickly straighten up and puff out my chest.

“I do not.” I retorted, only making both of them snort.

“He sounds like one too.” Cameron stated, making anger bubble up inside me. She just threw me a mischievous look before walking past me, leaving me with a smirking Vanessa.
