Chapter 2

Hayley's POV

"Hales!" Nika snaps, turning my attention to her scolding face "What do you think, Black or White?" she asks holding up two dresses. The black one looks hot and dangerous and the white one looks cute and innocent.

I point at the black one since it'll match her dyed black hair and piercing green eyes. She smirks "I know right! This would make me look so hot," she says mostly to herself as she strips and puts the dress on.

I cock an eyebrow and give her a questioning look. "I'm going on a double date with Lily. I have to be this guy Calum's date. She showed me a picture of him and it looks like there's two caterpillars fighting for survival on his face, and his nose is bigger than my tits!" she exclaims, making me drop my jaw and let out soundless laughs.

I then give her that 'Be nice' look and she rolls her eyes as she puts her make-up on. She then passes me her phone saying 'Check for yourself!' I check the photo and role my eyes. The guy is actually kinda hot. All he needs is to trim some of his eyebrows. But I'm not one to talk.

I squint down at him and then my eyes widen in recognition as I quickly run to my scrap albums. I find a picture of 1 year old me in the middle of my 2 year old cousins. Well I was turning 2 and Michael was turning 3 so...

I put the book in front of her and point at the picture. I then take the phone and point at both. She looks up at me "I'm going on a date with your cousin...?" she says, pulling a face of distaste.

She looks back at the photo and scrunches up her eyebrows, quickly scrolling through her phone until she finds the picture she was looking for. She puts the phone next to baby Michael's face and I notice that it's another guy.

This guy has blond dyed hair and looks like a total bad-ass.... Or he could pass for an EMO. "Yeah I know. When I saw their pictures I almost hit Lily cause I'd rather go on a double date with her if the Michael guy was my date, but nooo. He's her date," She says spitefully.

I give her the 'Be nice' look again and she takes a deep breath. "I mean why did Michael choose this guy as my date, why not one of his hot friends? Like this guy," she says showing me a picture of a blond guy that looks like a model.

I take her phone and type (Maybe because he wanted to be the hottest guy on the date, so Lily doesn't fall for another guy...?) and give it to her so she could read. After she finished reading she gave me a blank expression "True..." she finally says, grabbing her purse.

She is wearing her long black heeled boots that I gave her for her birthday and her hair reminds me of a lion's mane. She kinda reminds me of Scar from lion king, except, her skin is extremely pale and her scar is below her right breast on her ribcage. It's a long story.

She gives me a quick hug as she rushes out the door of my room in dad's mansion. We lived here when Dad was out of the country. Nika wasn't actually adopted by my dad; she was put in Savage Rejects Foster home for the special. She's just like a sister to me, plus she grew on my dad and he can tolerate her like his own daughter.

I ascend down the stairs to see both Nika and Lily. Lily looking more excited than Nika. "Jezus woman...! Stop bouncing!" she yells at Lily, making Lily give her a cold glare.

I head back into my room, hearing muffled voices, soon followed by a car engine starting. I go out to my balcony as a car drives out of our driveway. I push the little diamond chip on the back of my hand's skin connecting my thumb and my index finger.

This little diamond chip in my hand causes my hero suit to appear, replacing my clothes. My hair changed white and my eyes went shocking blue. The twirls came out from under my skin and my wings extended.
