THE NEXT DAY: 11 A.M.

Thomas woke up to the creaking of all of the Doors in the Maze. He looked at his watch. 11 A.M. Wow, he slep late. Thomas got up and went to the Homestead for some food.

As always, Frypan was in the kitchen slaving over the hot stove cooking lunch now. Seeing as how  Thomas missed breakfast already. Frypan was making sandwiches: Bacon, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. And of course bread. That's when it struck him. He looked over to see Alby and Newt running full force at him. They looked scared yet confident. Hmm.. Newt came out with a slur of words.

"We have to throw that shuck girl in the Slammer!"

    Thomas looked genuinely stunned. "Why?"

Newt looked at Thomas with obvious rage. "She's a threat, Slinthead!"

Thomas groaned. Gally was sitting across the room eating and looking up oftenly to see the conversation. Thomas wonderd why.. ''Okay then. Throw her in..But only for a day, seeing as she did nothing wrong that is!"

Alby spoke up then. "Fine Thomas..since you like her." Alby batted his eyelashes as a joke and grinned. Thats when the heat rose toThomas's cheeks. Stupid Alby.

 LATER THAT DAY

That night was when they threw Teresa in the Slammer. He hated it. He walked up to the bars of the Slammer. She was staring up at the ceiling.

     "Teresa..?" He said softly.

In an instant, her hands were gripping the bars and her eyes were shining like the full moon in front of him. "Yeah, Tommy?"

How did she know his name..? "Are you gonna be okay in here?"

"Yeah..I'm tough. I'll be perfectly okay." Her eyes.., they were oh so distracting.

"You know that they'll let you out tommorow?" He said it with trepidation in his voice.

She narrowered her eyes. "Yeah. I did know."

Thomas wasn't used to the Glade yet of course but he was begginging to like it. She pulled away from the bars immediately when she heared the sounds of Grievers entering the Glade..

     "Go." She said.

     "Why?" He questioned. Teresa huffed.

"Go! Now! The Grievers are coming." Thomas was stunned but then took off running into the Homestead and leaving her behind in the dark..
