I walked towards his room, the gun safely in my pocket. I had sent away the others on a ruse and that would give me enough time to deal with him. I needed to accost him before I would do that. I want to ask him how he could do that to me, my poor mother who entrusted me with him. They had warned me that he would try to manipulate me but I knew I couldn't be dissuaded. After all, it wasn't my first time.

I walked into his room without knocking. He was sleeping his large belly moving up and down in rhythm. I didn't want to touch so I knocked down his silver candlestick.

He woke up from a trance. His eyes bloodshot. He looked at me in surprise and what I had done. Before he could react what I had done, I pulled out the gun and pointed it at him. His lips froze in terror.

'I know you're a fraud and a liar. How could you deceive the people who trusted you?' I shrieked.

'Son, what are you doing?'

'Don't call me that. And don't try to manipulate me. I know what you are, you devil.'

'You're misled, I am neither of that. Let me talk to you.' he tried to get out the bed. I don't know what it was. Maybe it was his huge size that frightened me, maybe it was the excitement of holding a gun. But I heard the gun going off. A hole appeared in the middle of his chest and blood seeped out of it.

I wanted to fire again, but my finger wouldn't move. My whole body had turned to stone. He collapsed to floor, blood flowing from underneath his body to the threshold. Soon, his body went still.
