I have always loved any sports, but football was my all time favorite sport ever. Today was the day we had to play our school's biggest rival. I had got home and put on my football shirt that I bought for days like this and my mom drove me to the school so I could catch the fan bus.

Me and my friends had had an awesome time on the bus but they had left me because they had found some boys somewhere and told me they told me to meet them the fence when I felt someone breath on my neck and I felt uncomfortable and moved away, I felt like my friends wanted me to get kipnapped or raped because they hadn't even come back yet. Hopefully they were at my funeral or in the hospital when I am in shock or dead. "Hey why are you by yourself," a husky voice said. I realized the voice immediately and turned around.

As I suspected it was Hayes Grier, the other team's quarterback. I only knew that because we mainly played them and I knew basically all of the other team because I went every single game. "Why do you want to know it's not like you care," I said sassily.

"Okay then I was trying to make conversation with you because I seen how pretty you were from way back there," he said pointing. Now I feel bad because he was trying to be nice but I couldn't say sorry because he's on the opposing team and I shouldn't even be talking to him.

Before I could say anything back my friends came and took me away. He wasn't that bad and both of the teams were friends because we lived so close but the coaches hated each other so the had to pretend they didn't like each other. I wanted to talk to him again but I couldn't he had to go to the field and I had to go sit down because if I didn't, my friends would drag me.

The game was so fun but we were losing, which I was upset about. That wasn't it though I was trying to concentrate on the game but every time Hayes would throw a pass or look where we were my friends would squeal, because they knew that I kinda liked him from the time I had talked to him and they wouldn't shut up. The last minute of the game I just gave up with watching the game and talked to my friends.

After the game, all of my friends were asking me about what me and Hayes were saying but it was nothing and that's exactly what I told them. The all told me to stay where I was and they would be back soon or if not to come find them. I had suddenly got scared just like before, they had left me again, for anything to happen.

"Hey again how you feeling I know you're mad and sorry but I have to say I love the victory," he said posting himself up against the wall in front of me.

"Okay mister brag a lot, whatever," I said joking. He looked at me in the eyes and I couldn't help but look back. Hus eyes mesmerized me, the were so blue and I could see all of the emotion behind them like I could see his soul. He was leaning in when I heard someone yell "coach" and he let go of me and I ran to the bus. When I got on someone pulled something out of my back pocket and handed it to me. I looked at it and realized it was Hayes' number and went red thinking about if the person would've read the note. That would've been a disaster. I put his number in my phone and texted him

To Hayes

Hey its the girl from the game.

From Hayes

Yeah can I ask you a question

To Hayes

Sure you can

From Hayes

Will you go on a date with me I already asked half of your team and they said yes

To Hayes

From Hayes

To Hayes

Okay see you there

I smiled and put my phone away. I had told my friends and they bugged me about it for the longest time.

*The Next Day*

I woke up and lounged around the house until 7:30 and then I got dressed and pulled my hair into a ponytail. I wore a white tank top with a coral colored light cardigan over it with light blue jeans. I heard the doorbell ring when I walked down the steps.
I opened to see Hayes standing there in a T-shirt and black jeans. We exchanged our compliments and we got into the car and I had noticed some boy, probably a couple years older than us was driving.

I leaned over towards Hayes "who is that," I said quietly, hoping he didn't hear me.

"That's my brother Nash," he said chuckling a little. I just nodded my head and looked out the window. We pulled up to the theater and got out after saying thank you to Nash and introducing myself to him. We went into the theater and we decided to get tickets to see Mockingjay (A/N I can't freaking wait for the other part) and I had recently learned that he also loved The Hunger Games series. We had talked for a while until the movie was about to start and then walked to the theater to get our seats. Before the movie started Hayes put his arm around me and I leaned into him.

We had so much fun but soon it was over and Nash came to pick us up. When the arrived at my house Hayes got out and walked me to my door and we stopped. I turned around to look at him and we stared into each other's eyes for a while until he spoke "ummm... y/n I really like you a lot and I had a really super time tonight and I want to know if you would be my girlfriend," he said looking at me lovingly.

"Yes," I said smiling at him. Then I wrapped my arms around his neck as he wrapped his arms around my waist as we kissed. He walked getting into the car and driving away. I walked in the house and called all of my friends and we talked for hours. My love for football has lead me to the love of my life, The Quarterback.
