Not a part of Zecember but I've had this and another part of this in my drafts for months. Enjoy. If you want the other part today or tomorrow let me know.

•••••••••••••••••••••

I stand by my locker just like every other day by myself because I have no friends. At least none that anyone knows.

As much as I am a loner I do have a best friend. The only thing is that no one know that we're friends because he's the really known kid around the school.

And I know most of you are like "he doesn't wanna be seen with you because he's embarrassed that he's friends with you". Not at all really, he's tried to be like we normally are in public but to be honest I don't wanna be like that in public. He gets a lot of attention and I would much rather be the girl no one knew about. So it's this way.

I saw Hayes walk towards me with his friends and turn towards my locker and try to look for something that was nonexistent.

"Hi," I whisper.

No answer.

"Hayes," I whisper.

No answer.

He pulls his notebooks out and turns to his friends.

"Let's go," he says and they walk away leaving me completely baffled.

*After School*

I lay on my bed awaiting for the time Hayes would come over but as it began to get dark I started getting confused. I pick up the phone and dial Hayes' number. He picks up after an eternity of rings.

"What is it," he says. I raise an eyebrow and scoff.

"Are you freaking kidding me right now Benjamin," I say using his actual first name because I was actually angry with him.

"Yes Y/n," he says.

"You ignored me today for what reason and not to mention you just answered the phone in the most disrespectful way," I say.

"Oh my god Y/n you cannot be kidding me. We're just growing apart. If we were actually best friends we'd be around each other even in public," he says.

"Hayes I don't understand... I thought you would get that I don't have many friends and I don't like getting the same attention as you," I explain.

"Yeah yeah. Anyways I shouldn't be spending all of my times with you Sammi found out that we were friends and she doesn't want me around you," he says. Then a little realization of how sad I was gonna be when I got off the phone.

"Were? Hayes are you really saying that when you and I get off this phone we won't ever speak again," I ask sadly confused.

"I don't know Y/n. We'll have to see. But anyways I'll see you around sometime soon," he says.

"Hayes wait don't-," I say as the line goes dead. I tear glides down my cheek and I stare at my wall.

*The Next Day*

I walk into school a mess and shuffle over to my locker then I realize that I no longer need anything from there because I just used it as an excuse to talk to Hayes during school.

Of course I don't realize this until I'm insight of Hayes who was in fact talking to Sammi. I make accidental eye contact with his ocean blue eyes and he looks away and pulls his girlfriend by her waist. I turn around and head towards my class a little earlier than normal.
