First Hayes imagine of Zecember. I'm just naming them "Hayes Grier" so when I update over the month don't ignore anything that says Hayes Grier when it comes from me. I'm hype let's go

⛄❄⛄❄⛄❄⛄❄⛄❄⛄

I uncomfortably sit in the car as Hayes excitedly tells me how happy he was to see his friends. I just silently smile and nod at him hoping he doesn't sense my uneasiness.

"I'm so glad you're coming with me. I'll have a much better time with you there. All the people I love in one room. Well everyone besides my family," he says holding my hand. He looks so genuinely happy about tonight and that makes my heavy heart feel a little lighter.

He continues to drive and I continue to mentally freak out until we get the house of his friend Tanner. He parks and immediately hops out of the car grabbing his bag of gifts from the back seat. I reluctantly get out and grab my bag from the trunk, following Hayes in, who was already hugging and being rowdy. I get in and stand behind Hayes after he settles, he looks back and grabs my bag as everyone piles into the living room. He sits them under the beautifully made up tree. We all sit and they start talking. I sit quietly, they know I'm here so why make it known. They wouldn't care anyways. They don't really like me because Hayes had this amazing ex that they I guess were still attached to somehow. She was perfect, already in the friend group, and it was said that her and Hayes dated for a long time so they were used to her. When I came into Hayes' life they never really cared about when I was around, if they noticed I was around. Even their girlfriends could care less about my existence.

After like hours of just them talking while I'm silently engaged in the conversation they're having, they decide to exchange their presents. They all gather around the tree while I sit back. Hayes starts to go but looks back when he feels that I'm not moving from my spot.

"What's wrong," he whispers, searching my eyes for some emotion.

"Nothing. Can you give them their presents from me as well," I say finally looking straight into his eyes hoping I had done an alright job covering up what I was feeling. Uncomfortable, anxious, and unwanted.

He looks as if he believes me and goes sitting in between one of his friends and other friend's girlfriend. He pulls the bags toward him as people start exchanging presents.

"This one's from me and this one's from Y/n," I hear Hayes saying, handing Tanner two gifts. Tanner glances over at me with a glint of some type of emotion I couldn't read in time before looking away. Hayes starts handing everyone their gifts from us both and they start to open them. I got them gifts separate from Hayes because I wanted them to at least consider liking me. I specifically ask Hayes about all of them as individuals. After that I had gotten the gift I thought best fit Hayes' description of them. Which apparently worked because they were all in awe and gushing over the gifts. I feel a wave of satisfaction crash into me like a car.

Hayes comes back and hugs me to his side. The others pick up the remaining presents and walk towards me. They place them all at my feet, one by one. They all smile as I stare shocked.

"You didn't think we'd forget about you," Noah, another friend of Hayes, says. I stand up and look at Hayes who's smiling widely.

"I hope you do mind me excusing myself right now," I say with a shaky voice. His face drops, along with all of the others but they step aside.

"I'm sorry," I say before walking out. I get inside the car and I have a full on breakdown. I'm overwhelmed with too many emotions and while most of them are happy ones I couldn't get it out any other way than crying.

Hayes comes out right behind me and gets in.

"Why aren't you telling me what's wrong. You've been acting funny all night," he says hugging me.

"I just... I... I was so sure that every person in there hated me. But they don't so now I'm happy but I'm just really overwhelmed," I say.

"Would you like to go home and sleep it off? I'll have the guys come over tomorrow," he says. I hesitantly nod. He gets out of the car and goes back into the house. Five minutes layer he comes back with two bags of which I assumed were our presents.

He gets in, gives me a reassuring smile and hand squeeze before starting the car a driving home.

*Next Day*

I sit on the couch staring at the tree Hayes, Nash, Taylor and I had decorated last week with the presents from last night under it when the door bell rings. Hayes is the first to get to the door so I follow behind him. We open the door to four guys who were all standing there with boyish smiles on their faces and let them in. They all great Hayes and glance at me letting me know that they see me.

"Is it okay if I leave you here with her to figure out whatever's been going on lately," he say gesturing to me.

"Yeah it's fine," Tanner says. Hayes gives them all a warning look before going upstairs.

I sit on the couch signaling that they should probably do the same.

"Hi," Tanner says.

"Hi," I say. We sit in an uncomfortable silence.

"I'm sorry about last night," I say. They're taken aback at my apology.

"No need for that. We're sorry we made you feel the way we did. The only reason we didn't really interact with you was because Hayes always told us how shy you were and we didn't know how to approach you without making you uncomfortable. We didn't realize by not doing or saying anything that you'd be uncomfortable or even feel the slightest bit left out," he says and the three guys nod in agreement.

"Trust us we all love you Y/n. You make Hayes so happy. We've never seem him this happy over a girl ever. Even our girlfriends love you but they kind of had the same problem as us. They're a bit more unfiltered than us and thought but bombarding you that you'd be too overwhelmed," Noah says. I smile widely at them.

"You don't have to apologize. I understand that by being a little more quiet than you guys that you could've been cautious about what to say to me. I just want us to be friends," I say and they all smile and nod their heads. We all stand up and they all hug me.

"GROUP HUGGING MY GIRLFRIEND WITHOUT ME. WHAT TYPE OF FRIENDS ARE YOU," Hayes says looking at us in shock. We open our arms and let him in on it.

"Now let's open those presents."

Hoops and hollers come from them all.
