Chris and I got out of the car, with our hands still together, when the unexpected appeared. I assumed warm welcomes from my parents and friends but all we got were reporters with questions upon questions non stop and all I wanted to do was see my mom and dad again. I was about to snap at the reporters and break down crying but luckily the police cleared them just in time. When they finally left, me and Chris went up to our parents and Chris's younger sister, Courtney. At this point, we unlocked hands just to greet our families with hugs.
"Mom! Dad!" I practically leaped into their open arms.
"Oh my god Ashley! We were so afraid of losing you! Thank god your alright." My mother had tears on the verge of pouring from her eyes.
"Welcome home baby girl." My dad hugged me so tight I thought he was going to break a rib.
"I missed you guys." I said almost crying.
I told them a shorten version of what happened and I knew they didn't believe me. Why would they? A monster? They thought I was crazy. But I don't care. I'm just happy I will never have to go up there ever again, and me and Chris are safe.

I left Ashley to greet my family. I was so happy to see them, due to the fact I believed I would never see their faces again."Chris! What happened! I'm so glad your ok!" My mom and dad both bear hugged me.
"Heh, I missed you guys too. I'm so happy I get to see you again." I said holding back tears.
I turned around and there was my little sister with a smile spread across her face, tears about go pour out of her eyes.
"Big Bro. I missed you." She ran up to me and wrapped her arms around my torso.
"Hey, I know I couldn't have died without saying goodbye to you, so that's why I had to come back." I said to my beloved sister.
She was only two years younger then me, but she looked even younger due to her height. She usually hung out with me and my friends, and was actually invited to come up with us but her best friends birthday was this week. I knew it was a blessing in disguise. Thank god she didn't come.
"I missed you shorty." I put my hand on her head and ruffled her hair. She smiled and gently pushed my hand away.
"Anyways, what did happen? All night long there were so many different stories. A killer. A monster. And the worst of all, a murder case cover up." My sister that looked up to me so much, now looked at me with fear and confusion.
"Hey, hey no. You know me Court. I wouldn't even hurt a fly, never mind murder someone." I said gently grabbing her shoulders.
"Don't worry, about me and my problems. I'm not worrying you with what happened. It was hell and I never want to have to relive it again." I tried my best to reassure her.
"If, I'm not saying you, one of your friends didn't like Josh, could they have killed him and just beat themselves up and call it a monster?" She grabbed my wrists that I had gently placed on her shoulders.
"Listen, I'm not going into details, but Josh went nuts. He lost his head, and tortured us. And he wasn't even the real threat. Courtney, there are real monsters up there. Weindigos. Creatures that are made to kill. We're lucky we made it out alive." I said in a serious tone.
"Okay. I trust you. Whatever happened on that mountain is staying up there. Just know that I support you." She gave me a faint smile, which I returned.
