Alpha Male *extended version*

Part 7

"How do you know that your mate is here?" the alpha asked not giving Lucas a chance to answer before adding, "and why are your eyes a bright white? You ignored that question when I asked the first time."

"I ignored it for good reason," was Lucas's reply before he answered the first question. "Also, I just know that my mate is here, simple as that."

Gritting his teeth the young alpha spoke again. This time with more authority, "Well if you were smart, then you wouldn't ignore either question." Behind the young alpha his own men whimpered slightly at the command, and so did both Steve and Kiana. Lucas on the other hand just stood his ground almost fighting back against the alpha.

"There is no way in hell that you're going to go all alpha on me sir," Lucas spat after several seconds. His eyes though still white changed for a brief second to a dark black color. The color of anger among alpha's. "You perfectly know why, and how I know my mate is here, so don't you dare start with me."

"You better learn who your superior is young man, before you regret it," he said, striding toward Lucas and tried to look bigger than his actual size.

Lucas instead stared down the alpha more before pushing him away and growling. "You are the one who better watch it."

When Lucas pushed the alpha away from him it caused even more problems, and on top of that he also spoke back to a superior wolf, and growled at him. The alpha seemed to do a double take in surprise that a wolf actually disobeyed him before losing complete control. He did one last growl before standing directly in front of Lucas. His chest pushed up against Lucas. He seemed to be trying to push Lucas over, but Lucas refused to budge. The two were the same height so it didn't work but everyone else was in full fear. His own men backed up a few steps with whimpers, and both Kiana and Steve backed away closer to the tents. The two also whimpered but also moved closer together as if the other could protect them.

"You will obey your superior," he then yelled through clenched teeth. He was still trying to control himself, but even then canine teeth could be seen growing. His hands were by his side and curled into fists, turning ghost white by the end. He was even shaking with his own rage and the need to change and say who was boss. It was one of those signs which told anyone that they had gone too far, and if Lucas was not careful he would regret it soon.

After several seconds Kiana gained back her courage and began speaking to Lucas. "Back down. As much as you are trying to prove something, you back the heck down, now. Otherwise you won't even have him as yours because he will kill you before that even happens," she whispered.

When another growl erupted from the young wolf, she whimpered and backed up further with Steve.

"And if he kills me he will be alone, forever," Lucas replied. A knowing smile formed on his lips because he knew he was right.

Just as quickly as Lucas had said the words, the alpha attacked. His claws were bared and extended to full length and he took a swing at Lucas leaving a gash on his cheek. Blood started to seep through the open wound, and it was that hit alone that seemed to make things worse. Lucas bared his own claws and began swinging at the young alpha. He kept trying to connect his fists at the alpha's face, but was stopped by Steve who jumped in front to take the blow. In a matter of seconds, Lucas was pushed on the ground and pinned to the dirt.

"You're really stupid, you know that, Lucas?" Steve growled above Lucas. His face showed a gash on his left cheek and it was bleeding slowly.

Behind Steve, the alpha of the other pack was breathing heavily and looking pissed. His eyes were also a dark black color, but simmered more into sadness and pain than anger. He tried to hide it as quickly as possible as he ordered his men to leave. Before the three men left though he told them one order which was to retrieve another wolf by the name of Derek. They were told to find him and to tell him to come here immediately, and were also told to stay behind at the pack house.
