I waved at Nick as he drove off and turned around to face an abandoned looking park. It wasn't sunny like it was a few minutes ago. It was cold and chills rushed through my body. It was like something happened here that made it not safe. No one was around here and I didn't think any one lived around the area either. It was as if it was a completely different part of Santa Monica. It didn't feel right. "Hello? Is anyone here? My names Cara, I got an envelope with a letter inside that had an address written on it. The address lead me here. Hello?" I shouted unaware of what might happen if someone heard me. I looked around the area but I didn't see anything unusual about the park itself. Just a swing, slide and a seesaw. What else could there be in a park anyways? "Brrrrr, brrrrr, brrrrr". I picked up my ringing phone from inside my bag and unlocked the front screen. But it wasn't my phone that was ringing. "Hello? Is anyone out there?" I was starting to get creeped out about the fact that someone else could be here with me. I spotted something from the corner of my eye at the end of the slide. Something red. "Oh good not another freaking box! What's in it now? A human hand?!" I shouted trying to sound not scared even though I was practically going to pee myself. I walked towards the stupid box with the red ribbon tied around it and undid the beautifully stupid bow. I pulled the lid off the box without hesitation to find a phone inside. "Thanks for the free phone, what on earths name am I supposed to do with it exactly?" I picked the phone up that had stopped ringing and found a small sheet of paper inside. "9285" I read out aloud. "What is that suppo.." I was cut off by the phone ringing again. It was a private number. A quick thought of leaving the phone and getting out of there crossed my mind but of course, I went with the dumb idea of answering the phone. "Hello? Who is this? What do you want from me?!" I screamed into the phone. "Unlock." The voice from the phone replied. And then he or she or whatever the hell it is hung up. I could tell that it used a machine to disguise its voice. I did what the voice told me, I unlocked the phone using the code 9215. I didn't know what to do now though. "Should I look through messages, photos, notes?!" I yelled out. I heard a stick snap behind me and jumped. I quickly turned around but saw nothing. "Bzzzz, bzzzz, bzzzz." The phone started to vibrate. I opened the message that read. "Notes." I assumed that I was to open the notes app. I opened notes and found one that was intriguing to me. I gasped. The title was "Helen." My mums name..

"Cara? Are you okay?" Said a voice behind me. I turned around with tears filling my eyes to see Nick. "No." I replied. "I'm not okay. At all." I burst into tears and surprisingly Nick came over and sat next to me to comfort me. I could see him looking at the box and ribbon, but when he realised me looking at him he looked into my eyes. Some how that few seconds felt like ages to me. His eyes were beautiful. I didn't feel lost while looking at him. Something about him made me feel safe in this creepy park. Even when some anonymous stalker was giving me boxes and ribbons. Even when I got a possible sign from my mum. "Do you want to tell me about it? If it's something really long and emotional though I'd rather not hear about it." He said to me trying to make me laugh. It worked. I let out a small laugh. "Well then I guess we should just sit here without speaking because this is the longest story you will ever here." I replied back to him, still staring into his gorgeous bright green eyes. "I'd prefer not to sit alone with you in particular in this creepy park. Who knows, you might attempt to kill me?" He said smiling at me. He stood up and held his hand out to me. "Coming?" He asked. I grabbed his hand. In that moment I forgot about everything. All I thought about was him, and my hand in his. We got up and walked towards his car. "Wait." I said behind him. "You go to the car I just need to get something." I said to him. "Don't take for ever I've got better things to do then always be with you." He said to me walking towards the car. I smiled and watched him walk back to his car. "I know I'm hot and all, but you don't have to stare at me." He said without looking back. "How did he know that I was looking at him?" I said to myself blushing, and walking back towards the park. I picked up the box with the phone I dropped in it after reading my mums name. Tears filled my eyes again but I pushed them back. "There must be a reason for all of this. A very logical reason." I said to my self. A thought crossed my mind. A thought that I really liked. My eyes opened wide and a huge smile grew on my face. "Maybe it is my mum! Maybe shes missed me and wants to come back!" I said to my self. I picked up the red ribbon of the floor and ran back to Nicks car. I opened the passenger seat door and jumped in. "You better?" He asked me actually sounding concerned. "I've never been better." I replied back. "Well if your so happy then you don't need me anymore. You can get home your self right?" He said to me. My jaw dropped. I wasn't sure if he was serious or joking. "I'm just joking princess, stop looking at me with puppy dog eyes." He said looking into my eyes again. An even bigger smile grew on my face looking at him. He turned his head around to face the front and started the engine. I couldn't take my eyes off of him the whole ride back home. "Did you realise that I didn't hit anyone the whole way here?" He said to me smirking as he pulled into my driveway. "First of all that wasn't my fault it was yours and second of all I'm a great driver thank you very much." I replied back opening the door. "If you were driving back here you would have killed 5 people." He said smirking. I ignored him and shut the door and walked towards the front gate. He opened the car window and popped his head out. "Aren't you going to ask why?" He shouted from the car. I walked back towards him and leaned against his car. "Okay. Why would I have killed 5 people driving back here Mr Nick?" I asked him smirking. "Because you'd have your eyes on me the whole time and not on the road." He let out a small laugh and backed out of my driveway. My face turned bright red as he drove off from embarrassment. "I'm still a better driver than you!" I yelled behind him. "But your cuter." I said to myself. "Much much cuter."

Hi guys!! Sorry I haven't updated in a while I've been a bit busy. I really want to have a proper writing schedule but that will probably never happen😂. So I'm just going to update when I feel like it. Also you might have gotten a bit confused because of Nick. I said it in the last chapter I wrote that I might change Joes name to Nick so that's what I did. Nothing has changed about him it's just his name. Sorry if you didn't understand this chapter that well because of the name change but oh well. Hope you liked it xxx
