As the man helps me back onto the bed he sits down too and I cross my legs. He doesn't seem vicious so I guess I'll just awkwardly sit here in pain like a totally helpful person.
"Well this is awkward... So um, my name is James and I'm here to take you home" the man starts, wiping beads of sweat off his brow.
"So you're going to take me back to my house or..." I squint at the man, confused as to why I'm here in the first place if he just wants to take me home.
"Well no. I mean back to my home, where you'll be living now. It's a pretty long story but basically you've been chosen to train to be a Weapon"
I must look confused as heck when he tells me he wants me to be a weapon to he continues.
"A Weapon is a gifted human chosen to share blood with the Fey. And then they fight for the guild that chooses at the end of their training, living with that guild for the rest of their life"
So this guy is basically telling me I'm going to pull an Edward and take blood off some mythological creature that will train me to be a weapon...seems legit.
"So where exactly are you planning to take me and make me a... weapon?" I ask skeptically.
"Well, the land Ordiran is where the Fey reside. It's a place that exists in between this world and the Underground. You can access this world by going through certain ports; special places that connect the two worlds through a thin veil"
"So you want me to live in a completely different world to work for you? So how do you expect me to explain this shit to my family, because I'm sure as hell out of ideas" I'm starting to get more frustrated at this man telling me weird stories.
"You'll be able to visit your family on human holidays and certain Fey ones. The academy will arrange for your family to believe you have been accepted into a prestigious boarding school for your good grades"
This man must be insane or something and I'm honestly sick of his bullshit.
"Prove it" I snap at him.
"Prove what?" He genuinely asks, like he expects me just to believe everything he says.
"Prove that the Fey are real and I'll consider even thinking about going with you" I emphasises the word consider.
"Okay fine- Peter can you come in here?"
