Nichole POV
When I woke up the next morning, I was feeling kinda anxious so I decided that I'll take a little tour around the palace before we leave DresVann. I slipped from under Eisuke's arms and headed for the bathroom to do my heigene. After I finished my shower, I got dressed and left the room.
As I wandered through the halls of the palace, I heard music coming from another room.
(PLAY MUSIC AT THE TOP)
I followed the sweet melody and it led me to the ballroom. In the middle of the room, I could see someone playing the piano. Prince Joshua?! I didn't know he could play the piano, he plays really well. You can feel what he feels just by him playing. As his elegant fingertips gracefully dance across the keys, I begin to get lost in the music. I noticed that he stopped playing and when I opened my eyes he was looking right at me. I froze where I was standing, I was so embarrassed. "Um I-I'm sorry for disturbing your playing." I stuttered. "You play beautifully."
He just looked at me, "sit." He said. I walked over and sat on the bench next to him. It was quiet for a moment, until I decided to break the silence. "Um, I'm sorry about everything your kingdom is going through." He didn't respond. He began playing the piano again then he stopped and said, "I don't know what I can do to help, since my mother died, my father has been pressuring me like crazy to do something about the problems in DresVann. And when the Nobel Michel passed away, the pressure just got worse. All I hear from him is "you need to find a bride so you can secede the throne" I don't even know if I want to be king anymore." After Joshua said that, it seemed like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders. Like he really needed to say that. I was wrong about Joshua, he does care. "I know it may seem like a lot." I said. "But your dad needs you, DresVann needs you Joshua." He was silent then said, "Nobody needs me Nichole, after my mom died my dad didn't know what to do for the people of DresVann." I could see a loneliness in his eyes, like a sad child. It made my heart ache. "You're not alone Joshua." I said. He looked into my eyes, it made my heart race. I could feel my face heating up so I looked away. Joshua tilted my head up by my chin to look him in the eyes, he's so close. He looked right into my eyes and said, "you don't have to hide from me Nichole." He leaned closer to me, is he going to kiss me?! I tried to pull away, but his grip got stronger. "Don't run." He said. "Umm J-Joshua l-l-let g-go." I stuttered. I could barely talk. "Nichole." Joshua released me and I turned around and saw Eisuke. I jumped up and walked over to him, "morning." I said. He didn't say anything, he just stared at Joshau. Oh no, is he mad? "I'll see you later." Joshua said before leaving the room. "You wanna go to breakfast before we leave?" Eisuke asked. "Sure." I said.~~~~~
Eisuke and I went to this little outside cafe, it was nice to be outside for a bit. As Eisuke sipped his coffee, he kept staring at me. It was making me feel uneasy. "Is something wrong, you keep staring at me." I said. Eisuke just looked at me for few seconds then placed his coffee on the table and said, "What were you and the prince talking about?" "Nothing really." I said. Eisuke didn't seem content with my answer and said, "You said that last time and I didn't push the subject, but he seemed awfully close for you two to be talking about nothing." There was a coldness to his voice, it was kind of scaring me. "Well we were really just talking about DresVann and all the problems it has." I said. "Hmp." By the tone of Eisuke's voice, I could tell he wasn't convinced. "I'm ready to leave." Eisuke said and got up from his chair. I could tell he was angry, but what about?
As the servants filled the carriage with our last suit case, Eisuke and I were saying farewell to the king and Joshua. "Thank you joining us." The king said. "We hope to see you again soon Eisuke, and don't forget to bring Nichole next time you visit." "I will." Eisuke said. "Thank you for dinner your highness." I said. "Oh, don't thank me." The king said. "We're all practically family." Oh no! Why would he say that?! Eisuke doesn't know yet! I turned to Eisuke to see his reaction, it wasn't readable. Maybe he didn't hear?
As we road through the village again, Joshua's words flashed through my mind, "nobody needs me Nichole." How couldn't he see that all these people need him?

Eisuke and I were finally back at our home in Dubai, it felt good to be back home. I plopped down on the couch and relaxed, Eisuke sat in a chair on the other side of the room. He hasn't said a word since we left DresVann, is he angry? The silence was killing me. I decided to speak up, "Um Eisuke?" He looked up at me but didn't say anything. "Uh, are you okay, you haven't said a word since we got back. Are you sick?" I asked. Still nothing, I was about to get up and leave until he said something that shot fear into my entire body. "What's going on between you and prince Joshua?"
