Chapter 10

Eisuke POV

I walk over to Baba, "what happened to Nichole?" I asked. Everyone was silent for a moment until Mamoru spoke. "She ran off when she saw ya with that woman ya brought with ya." "How could you cheat on Nichole boss? That's cold even for you." Ota said. Did it really seem that way? " I wasn't with her." I said. "She followed me here." How could they possibly think I would be with some low life like her, I only have eyes for Nichole. If only she still felt that way for me..... I have to find her.

Nichole POV

When I awoke the next morning, I was in an unfamiliar place. "This doesn't look like me and Eisuke's room." Then I remember....

*flashback*

"There's a beautiful woman on his arm. Way more beautiful then me."

*flashback ends*

Eisuke was with another woman last night at Joshua's birthday party. I feel tears starting to burn my eyes. Just then, I hear a door open. It's Joshua? "Hey, how are you feeling?" He asked in a gentle voice. I quickly wipe my tears away before they threaten to fall. "H-How did I get here?" I asked. "You don't remember huh?" He said. Joshua looked down, "I found you in the rain crying last night and brought you here, you fell asleep on the plane so I carried you to my room." I was surprised at first, but then I remembered. After I saw Eisuke with that woman I lost it and ran out into the pouring rain. How foolish of me. "I-I'm sorry for causing so much trouble for you." I said. "Don't apologize, I couldn't just leave you in the rain, that would be a bad look for me." He said. His words are blunt, yet kind. Wait, this is his room?! Then I realize something else. If I was in the rain, shouldn't my clothes be wet? I look down and realize that I'm wearing completely different clothes! I start to blush uncontrollably, should I ask him? "Wh-Who changed my clothes?" I asked. A shocked expression came upon Joshua's face for a brief moment, "Oh! Uh umm Yu-Yuusake helped you change." He said. Joshua awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck and looked away, was he blushing? Who could blame him? What an awkward question to ask! By now we're both beet red and an awkward silence takes over the room. "Uh breakfast is ready!" Joshua said before rushing out of the room. "I should probably get changed." I roll out of bed and head to the bathroom to do my heigene. I look at myself in the mirror, I look terrible. I have makeup stains and tear marks on my face and my eyes are swollen and red from crying. I shower, brush my teeth, wash my face, change clothes and head down for breakfast.

Once I entered the dining hall, I saw that the table was set with a beautiful breakfast. "Good morning miss Nichole." The king greeted me. "Glad to see you back, but so soon?" I can't really tell him about Eisuke, what should I say! While I'm panicking, Joshua pipes in, "oh father, since I enjoyed the party that Tres Spades put together. I thought I should thank Nichole properly by inviting her for breakfast here at the kingdom. If that's alright with you." Wow, he really saved me there. I glanced at the king to see if he bought Joshua's story. "Why of course it's alright with me, it's nice to see you again Nichole. Where's Eisuke?" Crap! I forgot about him. "Uh um he had to watch over the hotel so he couldn't make it this time." I said trying to sound believable. "Oh, well that's too bad." The king said. Phew, looks like he bought our story. "Well I wish I could stay longer but I have some business to attend to, you two have a nice breakfast." With those kind words, the king left the dining room.

It was just Joshua and I left in the dining hall. There was an awkward silence. I should thank him for covering for me. "Thanks for not mentioning Eisuke to the king." He looked up at me, "don't worry about it." He gave me a kind smile. "I should probably head back to Dubai." A shocked expression came over Joshua's face, "Why?" He said. "Well, I just disappeared. I have work, and Eisuke might be worried...." I trailed. The thought of Eisuke and that woman flashed through my mind. I tried to push the image out of my head. "I'm sure they won't miss you for a few days, it looks like you need a break anyway. I mean, after I found you crying in the rain and all." Joshua said. He looked down, maybe not trying to bring up the subject for my sake. He's so caring. "Why don't you stay, just for a couple days?" Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to get away from work for a few days. Besides, I don't think I can look Eisuke in the eye right now...
