Chapter 14

Nichole POV

I can't believe this...Joshua kissed me. Wait, he's still kissing me! This isn't right! I push Joshau away from me. He stumbles back, panting. "I-I-I didn't mean to-" I cut him off. "-I It's okay! It's my fault." I said. "Bu-" just then the door opens, it's Yuusake. "Sir, someone has arrived." She said. "Who?" Joshau said.

As we head downstairs, I notice everyone has left. "What happened to everyone?" I asked. "Umm There was a little "altercation" between Prince Joshau and Prince Keith." Yuusake said nervously."so the king ended the ball early." "Huh?" Joshua was staring straight ahead. "Look." He said. I look up and see, Eisuke?!! This cant be happening right now, what's he doing here?!
"Hello Nichole." Eisuke said. I can barely speak. "H-hello Eisuke." I said. "What are you doing here?" "I came to take back what's mine." Eisuke said looking at Joshua with a stern look. Joshau just avoided Eisuke's cold stare. "Ahhhh Eisuke, what do we owe this pleasant visit." I hear a voice say behind moment turn around to see Prince Keith, I guess he hasn't left yet. He seems to have a bruise on his lip. I guess that's what Yuusake meant when she said they had a little altercation. "Nothing this time, I'm just here to take Nichole home." Eisuke said. "Um, do you mind if we talk." I said. Joshua seemed surprised at my words. But I can't look him the eye after what happened moments ago. "Fine." Eisuke says.

Eisuke and I head back to my room to talk. "So this where you were hiding." Eisuke said. "I wasn't hiding anywhere. I just left like you wanted to." I said. Eisuke scoffs, "Oh really, because I don't recall telling you to leave." He said. He can't be serious! "What do you think I have no use for you anymore means.?!" I said. Eisuke was silent, I had never yelled at him before. "After I saw you with that woman my heart couldn't take it so I just ran out." I was in tears now. "Joshua found me in the rain and brought me here." A stern expression came over Eisuke's face "oh so you decided to run off with another man?" He said in a cold voice. "Don't make it seem that way, I wasn't the one seen with another woman!" I cried. "I wasn't really with her. When I found out you left I went to find you." Eisuke said. "Y-you did?" I asked. "Yes, why wouldn't I?" He asked. "Well, you said you didn't have any use for me anymore and when I saw you with that woman, I figured you meant it Eisuke." I said in tears. Eisuke placed his hands on my face and wiped my tears with his thumbs and sighed. "When you told me about you being a princess, I wasn't mad about that. Just surprised you didn't tell me sooner because I thought you knew you could tell me anything." I was shocked, "really?" I said. "Yes, I only reacted the way I did because you mentioned having to marry that prince." Eisuke said. "I thought you were trying to leave me, so it pissed me off." That makes sense. "But wait." I said. "What about that woman I saw you with?" Eisuke looked irratated. "I told her she was annoying me so she called me an asshole and left." He said. That does sound like something Eisuke would said. "I would never cheat on you, and I couldn't let that prince have you. That's why I came out here, even if you had the slightest idea of marrying him. I couldn't let him takes what's mine" oh Eisuke, "I wasn't gonna marry him." I said. He looked shocked "you weren't?' He said. "No." I said. We were both silent for a moment. "I'm sorry for what I said." Eisuke said. "I was just so angry at that Joshua guy, but I took it out on you instead." "It's okay" I said. "I'm happy you came, it shows that you care, I accept your apology Eisuke." Eisuke looks into my eyes and kisses me gently. It's different from kissing Joshua, even though they may seem like the same person. "I've missed you Eisuke. Earlier, I was thinking about how much I didn't really belong here and that back home with you and the guys is where I belong." "Then let's go home." He said. "That's the reason I came back. We can leave tonight" "Can I say goodbye?" I asked. Eisuke seemed annoyed "Whatever, just make it fast." He said. Well, he's back to being inpatient again. "Okay, give me a sec." I say and leave the room, I think everything will be okay now.

As I'm heading down the hallway to Joshua's room, I'm trying to figure out what I'm gonna say. Is it right to just get up and leave? What about Dres Van? How will he become king without my help? And most importantly, what about that kiss? We can't just act like it never happened, can we? I'm halfway down the hall when my mouth and nose are covered and I can't breathe. Everything goes black...

Anonymous POV

I have her now. As soon as she wakes up I can put my plan into action. Nothing will stop my prince from becoming king. Nothing...

Nichole POV

My vision is blurry, I can't see. As I'm struggling to open my eyes I see a dark figure in the corner of the room. "Wh-who are you?" I managed to stutter out. "Don't worry about who I am, just listen to what I'm telling you." The man says. He sounds familiar but I can't make out the voice or face because I'm still drousy and it's dark in here. "What do you want?" I asked. The man's just chuckled, "I'm glad you asked, because I have a job for you." I'm really confused. "A job?" I said. "Yes, you will leave Eisuke and marry the prince." What?! "I-I have no idea what you're talking about." I said. "Save the act, I know about your direct royal bloodline to the Nobel Mitchel." "H-how do you know all this?" I asked. "How I know doesn't matter, what I know does." I have a real bad feeling about this. "You can't force me to marry Joshua, I love Eisuke." "Oh I don't think Eisuke will care about your "love" once I show him this." I look down and see a stack of photos...of me and Joshua kissing! "All I have to do is show Eisuke these photos and it'll all be over for you." The man said. I can't let Eisuke see those pictures! "You won't get away with this!" I yelled. "Oh I think I have. But if you want to be stubborn I'll show Eisuke the pictures right now." The man heads toward the door, I can't let this happen. If Eisuke found out it would crush him, especially since he thought I was cheating with Joshua. "Wait! I'll do it." I said. "Good girl. So here's what you'll do." The man said explaining to me what I need to do. I can't believe I'm doing this.

Joshua POV

Since that kiss, I can't stop thinking about Nichole. She's really changed me, too bad she won't marry me though... If Eisuke hadn't showed up, there may have been a chance. "Sir do you need anything." Jan asked interrupting my thoughts. "No I'm fine." "I know when something's wrong with you sir." Jan said. It's true, he knows me like the back of his hand. "Well, I've fallen in love with Nichole, and I want to marry her. But Eisuke is back. She said she can't come into a marriage that doesn't involve love. So I thought that maybe if I told her how I felt it may change her mind. But now that Eisuke showed up there's no chance." I said. "Well, why don't you ask her sir?" Huh? "I can't, there's no way she'd say yes. She doesn't feel the same" I said. Jan looked at me and said "you won't know unless you try sir, how do you know she doesn't feel the same if you don't ask." He's right, I won't know unless I try. "You're right, I need to face my fears and find out for myself." I said. "Thank you Jan." "No need to thank me, now hurry! I think I saw her in the rose garden." Jan said. I can always count on Jan. Now, I need to ask Nichole to be my wife.

Nichole POV

I'm sitting in the garden, waiting for Joshua. The man's instructions were to wait in the garden and when Joshua asks me to marry him... I have to say yes.

I look up and see Joshau practically running into the garden. "Nichole!" He said. "He-Hello Joshau." I said. "Look there's something I wanna get off my chest. I love you, and I know I said it but I don't think my feelings were clear enough... Even after the kiss." I can't do this. My heart is beating really fast. "So, I wanted to ask you something." Joshua said and got down on one knee. Oh no! "Nichole, you have opened not only my eyes, but my heart as well. I promise to protect you and love you for eternity. And together, Dres Van has a brighter future. So what I'm really to say is Nichole, will you marry me?" He asked. I can't believe I'm doing this. "Yes." I finally said. Joshua seemed surprised. "R-Really?" He asked. "Yes, I'll marry you." I can't believe it, I'm marrying the prince of Dres Van.

Eisuke POV

I'm sitting on the edge of the bed waiting for Nichole. What is taking her so long? She knows how much I hate waiting. Just then, a yellow envelope is slid under the door. "What's this?" I get off the bed and head to the door. I pick up the envelope and open it to see.... No no! How could she do this? Him! That's it. I've had with him and Nichole. I'm done.
