What a Surprise

"Bzz!" my phone vibrates and i find a group message to me and Mauricio from Mom.

"I honestly already knew and i am a bit dissapointed but I'm also proud of you. We'll talk in person later." is what it said. I was surprised to see the phrase 'proud of you' in there. Why are you proud of me? I looked and saw that Mauricio had responded.

"Yes ma'am." i smiled and said okay and locked my phone. The bell rang and i met up with Mauricio and Abby. We discussed how it went with mom and honestly we weren't sure what happened other than she was dissapointed yet proud. Me and Mauricio waited in anticipation to have the talk with mom. But then the last day of school happened and not our discussion. Mom didn't seem mad at all. She seemed happy and normal. I was so confused but i decided not to question it. If shes good im good and i dont want that to change.

I was excited for the summer ahead.
