Chapter 16

Drakes POV
Now I know you've been wondering where I've been since this IS MY book. Well I've been doing everything I could to get Amber back because I knew something wasn't right. When I finally did it took a while for her to get comfortable with life again. Right now we're at red lobster. I took Amber out to eat because I felt bad for what she went through.

"Hi my name is kelly and I'll be your waiter for the day. May I start you off with some drinks?"

"I'll have a raspberry iced tea." I said trying to hold off on alcohol.

"I'll take theeee raspberry lemonade." Said Amber.

"Alright I'll be right out with those." She smiled and walked away.

"So what exactly happened Amber?" I asked.

"Well it all started when Kaleb saw that I was getting to comfortable with you. He asked me if I wanted to get paid to do something and me being stupid I just went along with it. When we arrived at the ware house he knocked me in the back of the head with a bottle and then tried to poison me. I was out for about a week when it finally started to wear off. When I woke up Kaleb was surprised so he used me in his little "get renèe back mission" I was terrified of what he could do so I just went along with it but only because I knew some how his plan would fail. He tried to kill Deshawn but when that failed he came after renèe he said if he couldn't have her no one could. But they both went on a trip so he went after you. When you found out you killed him and that was it." She was crying.

I looked at her in awe and the waiter came back with our drinks and some cheddar bay biscuits. "Are you ready to order?"

" umm could we have another minute please?" I had so many thoughts running through my mind I forgot to look over the menu and by the looks of it so did Amber.

We both ordered the crab and roasted garlic seafood bake. After all the sad talk we began to laugh and have fun.

"And then she drank expired milk." She said laughing so hard she could barley contain herself. She was so cute even with me laughing so hard I'm crying I could tell how cute she was. I missed Amber and I would never let her out of my sight again.

Chantelle's POV
We were all back from our trips and Mel decided that she wanted to cook for us so we all went to her house to chill.
I was sitting in Tre's lap, Estelle was next to Jalen and they were holding hands, De'shawn was laying his head in Renèe's lap and they were on the floor and Ke'Von was on the recliner. Mel was in the kitchen finishing up the food.

"Guys." I said kind of a whisper. They all looked at me. "So Mel's 24 birthday is next week, what do yall wanna do?"

"We should have a big surprise party." Renèe said excited.

"Yesss!!" Everyone said in unison. We started planning and not to long after Mel screamed the food was ready. We walked into the kitchen and it was like a feast!! There was corn, macaroni, yams, cabbage, beans, rice, corn bread, mashed potatoes and gravy, green breans, cheesy broccoli, mustard greens and collard greens, ribs, chicken, ox-tails, sausage, a roast, and a big pitcher of kool-aid.

"DAMNNNNN!!" Everyone yelled. Mel laughed and said "yall just gon stand there or eat?" We all ran to the plates and got some of everything. We put our plates on the dinning room table and went back to get our drinks.

"Man Mel this is some good food." Von said with a mouth full. Everyone laughed.

"Yeah you lucky you got a girl that can cook." Jalen said. Estelle popped him in the back of his head.

"Aye man I can cook." She said Rollin her eyes.

"You never cooked for me." He mumbled. The rest of the night we all talked and laughed. The guys went to watch the football game and the girls helped Mel clean up.
