Niall's POV:
Isabell held so much pain in her heart. So much had been bottled up inside. It was amazing that she survived. Now all she could do was punish herself. She didn't deserve this. I would make sure she knew that if it was the last thing I did.
We were back in London now. Isabell was fidgeting in the seat next to me. Our cab ride home was almost over. Soon she would have to face Liam and Dani. She was scared out of her mind, but I could understand why. She flashed me a smile when I took her hand in mine. The driver pulled over infront of Liam's flat. I paid the driver and took Isabell's bag from her. She used the key Liam had given her to unlock the doors and lead me into the flat.
Liam and Dani were watching a movie together when we got in. It was good thinking on my part to text him before-hand. Who knows what we would've interrupted had I not. Isabell went directly to the living room and sat down on the reliciner. Better to just get it over with. "How was your date?" He asked. "I assume it went well."
"Yeah it did. Liam, can I talk to you guys for a minute?"
"Of course." He and Dani sat up and turned off the television. "What's going on?"
"Have you been told anything about me from the past year or so? About the accident?" She started off. As much as she tried to hid it I knew she was scared. So when she looked at me I sat down on the floor next to her and reached for her hand. She took it gratefully.
Liam smiled slowly and exchanged glances with Dani. Obviously I was the last person to hear about this. "We were hoping you would talk to us about it, but yes Ruth told me."
"Well sense then I haven't handled it the best." She admitted cautiously. Neither of us were sure how well it would be taken.
"What's wrong?" Liam tensed up.
Isabell didn't say anything. "Go ahead." I whispered. "You'll be alright."
"What's wrong Iz?" Liam asked once again.
"After the accident everything became a living hell. Even my home. The only way I could deal with it was cutting."
"What?" They both yelled at the same time. Dani flew up and uncovered Isabell's wrists, exposing the scars. Both went silent as the image sunk in. All the proof needed was right in front of their eyes.
A deathly silence filled the room. Liam stood, walked to the wall and punched it. "Why Isabell?" He yelled. I squeezed her hand hoping to give her some support. She didn't answer him.
Dani whispered something to him and he stormed out. "Don't worry about him. He'll be back." Dani did her best to assure us. I knew she was right. Liam just needed some time to think. Isabell on the other hand had gone pale and froze. Noticing this Dani got on her knees in front of her. "Liam loves you so much Isabell." Dani told her gently, as if pleading with the broken girl to be okay. "My god you should hear him. He has always been so proud to call you his baby cousin. That's why he's upset. He's scared that he's going to loose you, that's all. Honey, you've got nothing but love around here." She wrapped Isabell in an awkward hug. After a few seconds Isabell hugged back. "Should we finish this conversation when Liam get's back?" Something about Dani was that she always knew what to say. Somehow she always knew how to make it a little better. "I'm gonna fix us some supper. Why don't you two watch a movie or something." Dani sent me a look that said loud and clear Don't leave her.
"Is Toy Story 3 alright?" Isabell asked quietly.
"Sounds good sweetheart.' I'm pretty sure that ones Liam's favorite too. That's cute. While Isabell put the movie in I switched to the couch. I patted the cushion next to me and adjusted so Isabell could sit between my legs. Wordlessly she cuddled up to me. Clearly she didn't want to talk, but I was worried about her. "I'm so proud of you." I told her. The quiet girl never answered me, but soon I began to hear her soft giggles. Then and only then did I relax enough to laugh along with her.
