Journey

Chapter Six

As I woke up , I smelled bacon, eggs, and grits. I followed the scent , to see Zariah dressed for school making breakfast.
"Go get ready and then come eat and we can head out to the buss stop"
I nodded my head and went back upstairs , and got ready for school .
Zariah had placed my bath cloth and towel in the bathroom with a fresh bottle of soap

When I got out the shower I refused to keep being the same ole Journey. I took out some high wasted jeans with a purple crop top & some blue , purple ,  and white wedges , I was going to surprise somebody. Before I put on my clothes I went to the bathroom and flat ironed my hair , and gave myself a little hair cut , I cut it just enough to be able to tell I cut it .
Then I put on some pretty pink lipstick , I thought I looked really good .

As I walked into the kitchen ready to eat . Zariah stared at me .
"What  ?" I asked frantically
"You look the fuck good girl" she confessed "like damn where did this Jay come from?"
"I don't know , I'm just not the same Journey I'm tired of just being the boring girl around school" I confessed
"Well girl you just blew my mind away" she said with a smirk "now eat your food and come on the buss will be here in 10 minutes"
I began to eat
When I finished eating I went outside with Zariah and the bus pulled up .

As I got on the bus I heard people whispering
"Is that Journey?"
"She looks amazing!"
"Wow"
I walked to my seat and sat down.
I ignored the little comments and patiently waited to arrive to school .

When we finally arrived I had to use the bathroom , my stomach was turning thinking about what everyone would think , I ended up being late to class .

As I walked into class and everyone stared including Davarion , I walked to my seat and was greeted by Mrs.Chambers .
"Hi sweetie we are still studying until Mrs.Neal is back." She said sweetly
"Okay" I replied .
Davarion slowly approached me
"You cute huh ?" He said flirting with me
"No not really" I said
"Girl don't ever say that again !" He growled "you were beyond beautiful even before all of this" he said while pointing at my clothing , hair , and lipstick.
I struggled to say anything back , I was to busy blushing. Could he really like someone like me?  His brother obviously didn't. I was just a joke.
"So how about you let me take you out to eat after school and I'll drop you off back home? "You like zaxbys" he asked
"Well I've never had it so I wouldn't know" I confessed.
"Okay meet me after school in the student parking lot and I'll take you out" he said with a smile
"Okay"I said as I blushed.
I was so ready for the school day to be over, I ran to Zariah and told her I won't be riding the bus back today .
