I sat down at the lunch table next to Hanna and across from Emily and Aria putting my tray down.
"what's up with you?" Emily said
"nothing why?"
"well you look like your gold fish just died."
"sorry it's just that Toby's kinda mad at me right now."
"what did you do?" Hanna said entering the conversation
"what I!-... it's hard to explain"
"is this why you kept dodging our Toby questions this morning?"
"actually that's what I need to tell you... Toby asked me out like on a date."
"omg yay!" Aria and Emily exclaimed
"it's about time." Hanna said wide eyes putting a fry in her mouth
"what do you mean?"
"oh come on! don't play dumb you too basically stare at each other at lunch all the time! it gets really annoying. You don't even realize it!" Hanna exclaimed with a chuckle
"I do not!"
"do too" Hanna says with a laugh again
"guys?"
Emily looks away and chews on her granola bar.
"Aria?"
"well kinda... sometimes... a lot"
I throw my hands in the air and cross them on my chest
Aria just chuckles
"I'll be right back I'm going to he bathroom." I said
"okay" they said
before I know I'm bumping into someone
shit I'm so clumsy
"I'm so sorry! I'm really clumsy" I say blushing
I look up and see Toby. TOBY
"oh hey toby."
"hi"
"Toby please I'm so sorry, I promise I'm not embarrassed of you i mean how could I be i just never told them and I don't know why I was hiding I was being stupid ugh I'm so stupid I guess I just didn't want to draw attention to my self. But don't worry I told my friends that-"
"Spencer I'm not mad, I'm sorry I really over reacted and I understand."
I smiled lightly at him
Toby took both of my hands lightly
"sooo do you want to go to a movie tonight?" he asked
"you mean like a date?" I said smirking
Toby blushed lightly his pinks filling a light pink.
"yeah like a date."
"I mean if your okay with that" he said stepping closer
"yes." I gulp nodding
we stare at eachother for a while are faces inches away.
"good." he says with a smile stepping away
"see you later Spencer!" he says walking away
in a sing songy voice.
"what- you just- UGH"
Toby looks back and just smiles then continues walking chuckling
