"Oh come on. I bet you that you'll fall in love with me first." Shawn pleaded Taylor while pressing his body straight to the wall.

"No, you're falling in love first. I don't have emotions or feelings." Taylor brushed Shawn's hands off although he knew he loved the feeling oh too well and never wanted anything else besides Shawn to trace his fingertips along Taylor's goosebumps.

This was something that went on before they met, a month after they've met.

Let's rewind.

The second day into the school week and I know almost everybody, considering it was junior year. Meaning, I have this year and one more with these fellas, we've come a long way together and now I'm almost seventeen, I started my driving practices and well, yeah, I'll find a job and stuff. I'm glad I'm growing up.

Anyways, back to the classmates. This was a new thing where we all have the same classmates for three periods. So you're rather pretty connected with everyone. I suppose it sucks but in ways it's cool. Then the rest of the three classes are back to a regular high school.

I was finding a seat way in the back of my first period. Once I took the seat, I stables myself along with Aaron on one side and Cameron on the other. I've had them for almost six years now. Although, I feel like I'm loosing them. It's like a That's So Raven episode. I think Aaron likes Cameron how it was assumed that Chelsea and Eddie were a thing. Ugh.

"What happened to the lets hang out stuff before summer ended?" I blabbered toward the guys. "Hah.. That never happens anyways. Get over it." Aaron teased.

Then he walked in.

His fingertips let his hair pull behind his ears. Soft eye color with such plump pink lips. There was a dent along his cheek which I was completely reeled in by. Oh, he had a flannel that shaped his body rather nicely, the pants too, khaki and nicely form fitting along with black vans. His persona when he walked in was very welcoming and just adorable. It could light a room.

"Taylor?" Cameron snapped his fingers, drawing me out of my gaze.

I didn't bother to look his way and propped my chin on my hands as I adored him from a far.

"I think I like him, a lot."

"But he doesn't even like dick."

I rolled my eyes at his jokingly response. "Sure.. Look at his butt, I think he's gay." I reasoned with him, feeling embarrassed that I accidentally pointed as he sat down.

"What's his name anyways? And how would you know he's straight?"

"His name is Shawn and he was in our sixth grade but not middle school... I've had classes with him past years and he's always around girls." I sighed and started to pull out my binder. "Damn."

Since it was the second day of school, typical teachers do ice breakers-- where in class you go around doing whatever some paper tells you until you have enough signatures.

I'm aiming toward the most attractive person in this room. I'll act like I don't know him and ask him to sign one then introduce myself.

"Okay, twenty points full credit if you have at least ten names. Less than that will just get the amount of numbers you have." Our teacher instructed. As soon as she did, I immediately planned to walk toward the front row and 'accidentally' bump into said name, Shawn.

I thump my hips against his back and gasped, "Sorry, uh, since I'm here, answer one of my questions?" The moment we shared eye contact, it made my heart pound and my toes curl. He nodded and I smiled gladly ready to ask. "What sexuality are you?"

"Uh, haha.. I don't think that's on the list. Sorry about it." He walked away unimpressed but I tugged his hand. "Well, I don't always follow the rules and I was thinking my questions are better. Mm, how about I answer one of yours?" He handed me his paper and I signed a box. It read, "Do you have more than 200 songs on your playlist?"

"Oh, impressive. Me too like 500, what do you listen to?" His eyes lit up and I could tell this was his weakness. It's probably something we could talk about easily together.

"Hmm, I like stuff like Alina Baraz, BlackBear, Jeff Bernat, The Weekend and Common Kings." I replied weakly because I don't typically tell people what music I like but Shawn, he seems so nice I don't want to fool him. "Woah! Me too, I really want to go to see Weekend in a couple weeks but yeah, I can't." He frowned. It surprised me, he doesn't seem like the type to like Abello, he could be explicit. "Aw man, I'm going! Maybe I could get you a video or something."

"Aw, well, thanks for the offer. Uhm-" Shawn was interrupted by someone swapping papers with him. "Sign mine?" She asked peppy. "Then you after Taylor, okay?" We both nod and gave her our papers. I sighed knowing that yeah, maybe Shawn is interested in her.

I reminisce on our names on each other's paper while it lasts. Before I could walk away he tap my shoulder. "And nice meeting you Taylor." We exchange smiles, "It was my pleasure, Shawn."

I continue to go and look for more students to sign papers with. I did make at least nineteen or so before the time passed. I wrote someone's name on a random one to make it seem like I got twenty so I would get full credit.

Class is over in a minute. I'm going to go to another session, and since its second period, all of the people in this class are going to the same teacher. Which leads to me trying to find a seat near Shawn since that teacher is so laid back and understanding.

Shawn is already walking so it would be too late for me to catch up. But I'm hoping he doesn't have a seat taken by him. "Stop walking so fast!" Aaron shouted. I wasn't running but I had a quick pace going on to the point where I had no time to reply.

I catch a hold of the door that was about to close and put my palms to my knees, catching my breath. "You okay, Tay? Haha." Shawn giggled walking toward me. "Sit." He points at the seat next to him. Its a chemistry class so it has a partnered table.

"I was afraid I was going to be late!" I lie because we all know I'm here for Shawn. "Ugh chemistry. Something I hate. I lack it educational and socially." He says oh so seriously, I laugh because it reminds me of humor. "Aw, man. You're doing great socially. And if you need help, you have me. I uh, don't tell anyone okay, but I'm kind of a straight A student. On the low key." I whisper in his ear the end part.

I don't want anyone knowing how high my educational skills are. It's something I should be rather proud of but with my standards, they don't completely 'equal up.' Maybe senior year I'll have the courage to tell people hey I'm smart and attractive.

"I'm not educational at all. I just play music and people think I'm really smart when really I'm just a quiet, lanky person filled with kindness." I notice his voice is pretty soft. Something else I take initiative in admiring. I'd like to hear his singing one day.

"Will you ever play music for me? And this means you sing right." His lips curve from ear to ear. "Ah, I love talking about this! Yes I sing. Come over one day, and I'll play something." I gladly took this as a sign that we're doing well.

I jot my phone number on a note pad I take out while the teacher asks us to get our composition. I slid it toward Shawn silently. He slips it into the front of his binder. His breath seeks to my neck as he starts to get closer. "I'll call tonight."
