I look at myself in the mirror. Upset that I haven't been eating. I see my stomach and it's been getting bigger and I'm very happy. Yet so unhappy.

I miss school, though it was terrible for me. I miss how my stomach was just flat. And I miss the way Taylor seemed to like me more back then. As of now I don't think he's the same. And I fear he will leave me, no doubt about it.

"Baby? Come out the bathroom. It's time to do our weekly tummy photo and measurement." Taylor calls. We've got this idea from a ton of other people to mark out milestones. Photos of my growing stomach and their measurements.

"Taylor. I'm upset." I say softly, looking at my stomach. I rub it and sigh. "What if everyone hates me. What if my children grow up hating me. They don't know if I'm their mom or dad. They don't know why like... They won't know anything. They'll say rumors at school like the ones happening now. Everyone will hate me."

"Baby. Stop nobody will hate you. And I love you. Your mom loves you. Your daughters will love you so much Shawn. That's all that matters, doesn't it?" Taylor says softly and I wrap my arms around him as it's difficult for him to hug me back. He kisses my forehead and trails down to my lips. "Now tell me you love me too, Shawn." I smile and look at him giving him another soft kiss. "I love you."

"You'll never fuck me the fuck up! That whole thing. Oh my god, boy was it a mistake having sex without protection. Fuck you!" Shawn exaggerates because of his excessive pain. "Baby, it'll be okay. I love you. As soon as these babies are out, you'll love them so much. We'll be such a happy family!" Taylor does everything he can to distract his boyfriend but it only makes him more upset.

"Just push babe, come on... You're doing- ah ow fuck! Shawn! Too hard!" Taylor squirms as Shawn's grip is drawing out Taylor's blood flow from his hands. "You want to know what's hard? Pushing these babies out!" Shawn shouts. Taylor takes a deep breath and kisses his lover on the forehead, "A lifetime of happiness will take over this pain."

Shawn is now trying his best to calm down and he takes a deep breath. Taylor holds his hand even harder. The directors are requesting that Shawn pushes harder and he does. He does his best to do so. And Shawn whispers to himself, "Life time of happiness, taking over a moment of pain." With that, there's a light whine. And the doctors scream, "First one is here!"

They turn the baby over and slap it on its bottom to clear the airway. "Would the father like to cut the cord?" Taylor takes the scissor and snips. The two new parents are now crying heavily with warm tears. "We did it baby. Now one more." Taylor says gladly.

Their baby girl is being taken to the clear infant pen as they mark all its requirements. Shawn nor Taylor has held the baby yet but they know they'll get their chance. For now, they need to retrieve their next child.

"Wait. Wait, wait..." The doctor announces to the nurses around him. "Look at the monitor. The second baby isn't being responsive." Taylor looks and doesn't know how to read it, but Shawn's extremely panicking, "My baby is fine! Get her out."

"Shawn, calm down. Don't yell at them. They're seeing what's wrong." Taylor rubs Shawn's arm but he seats it away. "Shawn... Please." Taylor begs and Shawn soons breaths in and tries his best to close his eyes and be okay with what's happening.

But that's when he gets more contractions. "Oh my god! Let me push her out! Geez. Let's go, let's go!" Shawn shouts, his knees pushing against his chest as he pushes. The doctors see the baby's head and force Shawn just a little more. "There. Sorry. So sorry." Is all one of the female nurses says. She's the one who's been with them earlier for all the comfort, the first one to hold their baby.

"Pfft, what are you sorry about? You helped us during labor and now we have two healthy baby girls." Taylor smiles and walks over to the nurse putting her arm around her. But she gives him a disapproving look and glances to the doctor. Taylor looks at him and sees he's holding their second baby but she's not making any noise, no movements as the first child. (I almost said 'hatched' way to ruin the moment HAA).

"You second infant did not make it." The doctor says flat and covers the baby with one of the towels. He takes her to the third nurse. "Wait!" Shawn cries out, sitting high with Taylor's grip right around his shoulders. "I want to see her. What could of been..." The nurse nods and hands her to Shawn.

"Oh, she's beautiful. The second twin." Taylor says softly. "I just wish those eyes would open up." He comments and puts his hand in the baby's dirty cheek. "I love you." Shawn whispers to his unresponsive child and kisses it's lips. He cries as he holds her tight but the doctor gets up and takes the baby away.

"We're really sorry and we'll be on the research now. And we need to see if you're alright too." He tells them and soon leaves with his check board. The other nurses clean up the scene while the second one does checks up their new born.

Shawn and Taylor look at each other for a moment of just pure silence. "What did I do wrong?" Shawn says softly to himself. "Nothing. Nothing, baby. It's not your fault."

"Their names... I guess we can't have those bailed since they were suppose to be put together as one." Shawn whispers and Taylor whiles his eyes. It was suppose to be Kath, and Erin. As a total of Katherine. But it's wrong to only have one name, without the other. It's truly a shame.

The second nurse comes over to them and pats Shawn's leg. "We need all your legal information for your child. And the mother and father. Everything." She hands them the clipboard.

"What's your name?" Shawn asks the nurse softly. "Astrid." She replies. Taylor looks at Shawn and together they nod, and quickly glance at their baby in the distance.

"Astrid Caniff." Shawn whispers as he writes I down. "I love it." Taylor goes down and kisses Shawn's forehead that was still sweaty but he didn't mind.

After moments of Taylor resting by Shawn and Shawn getting his own rest. They are now allowed to see their daughter at the nursery. The two give each the glances before taking each other's hands and walking to their designated room to see their infant baby.

"At one point, you were elusive. But now, we have our own child. I'll support you forever. I love you so much. Understand that." Taylor says gently to Shawn as they both admire their child in front of them. Shawn pecks his boyfriends lips softly, "You're everything to me. And you know that. Now this baby is too. Well make it work. To think this was all elusive."

For now, this is the end of the book!
However, I just might want to write about their lives with the baby. So it's kind of a mystery. If I update, then I do. But to clear the air, this is the end unless something happens otherwise.

Though, to read a book where it does involve kids and parenting, read:
Babysitter to Step Father

By the title, I'm sure you can tell how this will turn out. Yes? Because it's really straightforward. Also one of my favorites to write. So yeah, totally check that out!
