Laura's POV:
Okay, waking up with a massive headache is never a good sign but waking up remembering what an idiot you were the night before is even worse.
Seriously! Waldo Pancakes? What was I thinking?
I'm so embarrassed right now that I don't think I'm ever going to leave my bedroom. These are the kind of days that you should be happy that you're a social outcast.
But the fact that practically all of school was here last night gives me a feeling that popularity, or in this case, the lack of popularity isn't going to make a difference.
Stupid Logan! He should've told me that the punch was spiked or I wouldn't be here being woken up by my mom at eight thirty since I'm clearly an early riser. School starts at nine and it's a good fifteen minute walk from here.
But then again, I don't think I'm planning on even brushing my teeth, forget going to school altogether.
"Laura! I've been trying to wake you up for the past ten minutes! Sweetie, you're going to be late for school." Mom tried caressing me up.
"I'll take a shower and run ma!" I say through the pillow squished against my face. I don't think any human's capable of understanding what I just said. But then again, mom is not human.
"Okay honey, but Logan's downstairs and he might barge in any minute so be careful."
This got my eyes wide open. I have so much planned for that boy. But first, I'm in a dilemma on whether to butcher him or slaughter him. But then realisation hit me. Why choose when you can do both!
I watched mom slowly shut the door while I was thinking on what to do after the butchering/slaughtering. I'm so angry right now but it seems to me like my head's counting down to explode anytime now.
"Laura." Urgh! Who's that now? Sounds like Logan. I dont have the energy to deal with him.
Speak of the devil and he shall appear, i spoke too soon. Logan came barging in. "Rise and shine, Waldo!"
"Oh, god, please tell me that's not going to be a permanent thing." I whined through gritted teeth.
"It will be if you don't want it to be." He grinned.
"Well, in that case, I love the name!" I said, making the sarcasm in my voice just a tad bit obvious.
"Well, Waldo, moving on.. Why aren't you ready?"
I just glared at him.
"Okay Miss Dagger eyes." He raised his arms in surrender. "Why so glum?"
"You're really asking that question?" I fake laughed.
"Uh-huh," he nodded trying really hard to control his laughter.
"I'm so embarrassed about yesterday," I say rolling back on my bed, hiding my face under the blanket.
"Its okay, sunshine. I don't think anyone would remember." He said trying to pull the blanket off me.
"No! They'd remember everything! And I'm planning on spending the rest of the school year on my bed, thanks to you!" I fought back pulling my blanket over myself again.
"That's it!" He commanded and pulled my blanket off me once and for all.
He grabbed a towel from my cupboard and threw it at me.
"In!" He said pointing at the bathroom door.
For some reason, I caught it and ran into the bathroom. After taking a shower, I wrapped myself in a towel and walked out and started rummaging through my wardrobe when suddenly i felt a warm breath tickle my neck. I turned around clutching on to my towel to bump into none other than Logan.
"Logan!" I yelled. "What are you doing here?"
"Enjoying the view," he smirked. He should really stop moving closer to me, our noses are almost touching.
"Just get out!" I yelled, again. Wow, I'm turning into mom.
"Well, what will I get in return?" He moved closer. So close that i was breathing in his air. These are the kind of days when I wish that Alex would walk in.
"A slap if you come any closer." I'm not ready for this.. why is he acting so strange?
"Logan!" I heard Alex scream from downstairs. Praise the lords! I love you, brother!. "It's 9:20!"
With this Logan pecked my cheek and left the room. Leaving me staring at my closed door. He's one of my best friends, so I guess that's normal, right?
I quickly changed into jeans and a shirt, pulling my wet hair up in a high ponytail. I searched through my cupboard and pulled over the baggiest sweatshirt I could find. Wait, is this Alex's? Eww.. This was in my cupboard.
Whatever, I better run down, it's almost 9:30! I skipped down the stairs jumping two at a time.
"Step on it!" I said as soon as I hopped into the passengers seat.
And Logan zoomed our way to school. Well, I wish I could say that but no. We just had to get caught in traffic, stop messing with me universe! But somehow we managed to reach school before 10:00. And by before, I mean at 10:00.
Once Logan pulled over at the parking lot, Alex stormed out of the car. Great! Now it's just me and Logan, alone. Please universe, spare me this once.
Logan was staring at me while I was trying to contemplate what to say to him. Don't get me wrong here. He wasn't creepy staring. It was more like he was waiting for me to do something.
"Umm-Logan," I began, "you're kinda-sort of staring."
"Yeah-no, I was just wondering why you didn't run like Alex did."
"The first period bell's going to ring anyway, so why hurry."
"In that case, lets just hurry to our lockers and get our stuff." He suggested.
"Yeah sure."
We got out of the car and started walking towards the entrance when realisation hit me. Logan's so called present was my new locker.
"Umm-Logan." I laughed.
"Yeah?"
"Where's my new locker?"
"Oh that? Follow me." He laughed.
"What about my stuff?"
"I got it transferred to your new locker."
I nodded and followed him.
*****
For starters, he wasn't kidding when he said that its was the 'prestigious' locker outside the girls bathroom. He opened my locker for me and opened to the one next to it and started taking out his books.
"Laura?" Logan called.
"Hmm?"
"You really don't remember anything from last night, do you?"
"Logan, you've been acting strange all morning.. Did anything happened that I should know about? And not the Waldo Pancakes thing. I remember that almost too clearly." I laughed.
"Well.." He started. "Something might've happened between us..."
"And what is this something?"
He fumbled for a while and then moved closer to me.
"This." He cupped my cheek and kissed me.============
That's a picture of Alex on the side xD
