Laura's POV:
"AUNT FELL! WHERE DID YOU KEEP MY LAPTOP?" I yelled out from the guest room at Aunt Fell's place.
"OH, IT'S IN THE LIVING ROOM. I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO KEEP IT SO I LEFT IT THERE!" She yelled back, coming closer to my bedroom.
"And did Alex make you promise to call me Aunt Fell this whole trip?" She asked casually leaning against the door panel, folding her arms.
"Maybe he did, maybe he didn't" I grinned and fell back on the bed.
Yes, Alex made me promise to call Aunt Felicity, Aunt Fell but really when you look at it I actually like calling her Aunt Fell, I feel like it adds a little personal touch to it. Speaking of Alex, he acted pretty weird at the airport when I was leaving. But then it's Alex. He's always weird. Man he's such a loser but I'll miss him.
"Hey, Laura, do you have to leave?" asked Alex.
"I don't have to, I want to. It would be really cool if you could come too, y'know," I said turning towards Alex after hugging my mom and dad.
"I can't," he sighed, "I have some stuff I need to handle back here."
"Stuff. Huh? What kind of 'stuff' is this?" I laughed punching his arm.
"Everyone isn't as smart as you Laura. I'm staying 'cause I need to catch up on my grades."
He hasn't cracked a joke or acted cocky ever since the whole Logan-Alison thing that happened. The last time Alex was this serious was when we had found out that we were moving to Connecticut. That was a blow on both of us. We were happy back in Chicago with the little life we had built up and when mom told us this we realized that we were going to have to start all over again. He hadn't spoken to mom and dad for weeks after that.
"You? You want to catch up on your grades? Since when did my brother become such a nerd?" Maybe he'll tell me what's up if I keep pushing.
"Yes, the A-man is now turning on his nerd mode," he feigned a dramatic sigh.
All I could do was stare at him, something was definitely wrong.
"Hey sis' chill, stop worrying about me and go have fun on your little trip! But not too much it you know what I mean," he winked putting an arm around my shoulder. Okay! He's back. False alarm.
"Okay! Take care of yourself and don't get into to much trouble while I'm away."
"Don't worry sis, I'm not that much of a trouble maker," he grinned.
"Uh-huh, I believe you," I laughed, my voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Laura I know I don't say this much but I love you, you're the best sister in the world!"
At this, I looked at his face, something's definitely up.
"Ok, Alex, I'm going to ask you something and you have to be completely honest with me. Don't lie to me." I said with a serious expression on my face.
"Ok?" he said looking confused.
"Is everything alright? I know you told me that you're over Alison but Alex, you know you can tell me if anything is wrong."
"Everything is just fine, Laura." He said plastering a fake smile on his face.
"Ok honey it's time for you to go" said my mum.
"Unless you want to miss the plane" said my dad.
"Okay! I've got to go now." I said, hugging Alex one last time.
