Logan's POV:

I have to say, leaving home like that unannounced was pretty scary considering my mom and her considerably bad temper. But I had to do it. I had to see Laura. I just had to. I had to explain the situation to her, tell her that she's the on,y girl I'll ever really care about. Even if I don't know how I feel, I had to tell her that she was important to me. And that losing her would mean, losing everything.

"Laura!" I poked her from my bed, laying with one hand propped behind my head.

"Go to sleep, loser face!" She whined pulling her blanket over her head. Typical Laura move.

"It's eleven am, Sunshine! You have to wake up now or we won't get enough time to see around Wales." I huffed. I couldn't sleep all night, so I took a shower the second I saw the sun rise and put on a pair of jeans and a plain white t-shirt.

This made her turn around and pull her blanket down just a little bit so that I could see her face. "Do you really want to see the place that badly?"

"Considering the fact that once we're back home you won't be speaking to me again. Yes, yes I do."

She sighed and got off the bed, slowly making her way to the bathroom. After what felt like ages, she finally walked out in her towel. Oh c'mon! Give me a break! She glanced up at me and then at the door, signalling me to leave. I walked down the stairs and hopped onto the couch.

After about five minutes of me lounging on the couch, Laura came downstairs, "So, where do you want to go today?"

"Surprise me," I grinned.

"Cardiff then?" She asked, still with a straight face. Man, what's up with Laura? She's supposed to be the little ball of sunshine. And here she is, standing in front of me, without anything close to a smile on her face.

"Yeah, whatever," I shrugged.

We both stepped out of the house after that, making our way to a bus stop. Laura told me that Cardiff is about an hour or so from here.

*****

All the time we spent sightseeing seemed pretty dull. The bus ride was even worse. Laura didn't say anything except when she was explaining the scenery. So, I decided to spice things up a bit.

I asked her to wait outside Cardiff castle while I told her that I'm going go and ask about any tour guide we could find nearby for the castle. She kept trying to tell me that that would be unnecessary since she knows everything about the place but I was being stubborn and went anyway.

I went behind the castle where there were a few souvenir stores along with horse carriage rides. So, I did what I thought would bring some life into that serious face. I hired a knight costume. Yes, it had the full metal body suit. Nearby, I also hired the horse carriage for the next hour.

I went with the get up and the horse to the front of the castle where Laura was waiting. On the a way, a couple of tourist asked to take pictures with me which was quite embarrassing but whatever. I need Laura to talk to me again. Why does it matter so much? Because she's my bestfriend. Yeah, that's it! Denial is the first step.

Once I reached her, I jumped off the carriage, got on one knee and held out my right hand, "Laura lady, would please do me the honour of accompanying me on the ride around the castle with the lovely Beatrice," I said pointing at the horse.

Laura eyed me skeptically at first. This is when I realized that she didn't know it was me. My voice must've sounded muffled under the mask. I lifted up the portion covering my eyes and winked at her. This made her laugh.
