Jonas’ P.O.V.

                I walked to the house so I could get ready for work. When I got into the house, I went and took a shower. After my shower, I had to cut my hair so I would follow the department regulations. After I finished all my hygiene routines, I had to go get into my uniform. It is navy blue pants with cargo pockets, navy blue long sleeved polo shirt, a navy blue hat that says “POLICE”, black swat boots, and the utility belt. Whenever Caleb sees me in my uniform, I swear that her mouth waters.

                I got into my 2010 Dodge Charger and drove to my department. I walked up to my lieutenant to report for duty. He pulled me into his office, and began talking.

                “Officer Scott Green. How are you today?”

                “I’m okay but a little nervous. You sir?”

                “I’m perfectly fine. You’re about to become a lot happier. I’m promoting you to a sergeant. Today will be your first day to work as a sergeant.”

                “Thank you so much sir. You don’t know how much the means to me. Thank you. What will my job be for today?”

                “You will be in charge of the Driven concert at the Ecstasy club. There were 800 bracelets given out, but it was advertised as free. There is a large gathering, so you need to control the crowd. By the way, tell Caleb about your promotion and that I say that you clean up good. Especially after getting pudding shoved into your face. Be careful.”

                “Okay. Thank you again Lieutenant Lasting.”

                I went back out to my car, and went to Ecstasy. The crowd was huge- there was at least 1,500 people. One girl came up to me and showed me her bracelet, but said that she was waiting for her friend who went to get her coffee. I went to pull her to the side, but then there was a loud gun shot. She flew to the ground with a gunshot wound to her head. Then I was on the ground having difficulty breathing. My partner came over and was covering me. Once I was able to breathe again, I had to go into the trailer. Officers took off my vest, shirt, and utility belt off. There was already a bruise forming on my abdomen, and pain.

                Two of my lower officers took me to my house. They were in my pack, but I barely talked to them. They had Caleb come home right away so she could be with me. My lieutenant came to my house and told me that I will need to come back to the department at 6 tonight.

Caleb started to flip out because I was in pain. I then pulled her to me and gave her a long, soft, passionate kiss. She responded to me immediately. I pulled her onto me and started to kiss her with even more passion. She started to trail kisses down my jaw and down my neck. I felt so much love at that moment that I almost forgot to tell Caleb that I got a promotion. I pulled away and took her hands in mine.

“Babe, I got a promotion today. I am now Sergeant Jonas Green.”

“Good job, baby! We will have to celebrate tonight! I’ll go get everything started. YAY!”

Oh God- I just started an over-hyper Caleb party. Great. Everyone knew where this was going to end. Caleb ran out of the room, and I took out the engagement ring I got for Caleb. It was a silver band with an aquamarine stone. When it hits the light, it shows two wolves with their noses together in the shape of a heart. On the inside of the band, it says “Match Made in Heaven” in cursive. Tonight at the party, I will propose. I’m very nervous though. What if she says no? What if I choke? What if I make a fool out of myself?

I want it to be a surprise to everyone. I want it to be a surprise to Caleb. It may not work with my brother knowing…
