We reach my house to see Miles waiting in front of the door.

"Quick. Follow me." He ordered, creeping up the stairs.

We follow behind, trying not to wake up my parents. Miles walks towards the door that we were trying to open the other day.

"Ready?" He smirks, holding up a key.

"But there's no keyhole." I ask, confused.

"Yeah. It's basically a piece of wood with a handle." Ross states.

"That's what I thought at first but I examined it more closely and found out that the keyhole was covered with a piece of metal." He says, proudly.

"Where'd you find the key."

"Dad's office. He has a draw with keys that are labelled. This one said basement so I'm guessing it's for this door."

"Oh okay. Open it then." I point towards the door, getting impatient.

Miles then bends down and inserts the key. I cross my fingers. Please be something that will help.

"There's are no lights." I point out.

"Torches." Ross takes off his backpack and takes one out.

"I'm not going first." I take a step back.

Ross and Miles look at each other.

"You've got the torch. You lead." Miles points at Ross.

"Fine but I swear if I die, I'm coming for both of you." He grumbles and shines the torch into the darkness.

"That's a lot of stairs."

"Mmm."

"And they're really steep."

"Yep."

"And we can't even see the g-."

"Look. It'll be fine, okay? Just hold my hand." Ross cuts me off and grabs onto my hand. There's the butterflies again.

"Okay. Be careful. If you fall then it means I'll fall as well." I warn him.

"You lovebirds moving or not?" Miles teases.

"Miles, If we don't die in there, I swear I'll kill you." I threaten him.

Thankfully he can't see me blushing or we'll probably spend all night standing here listening to him tease me.

"Come on. We gotta hurry. They might wake up." Ross pulls me with him as he takes a step.

"This is so cool. We're like spies." Miles whispers, excitedly, as he closes the door behind him.

"You've got the key, right?" I question.

"I'm not stupid." He takes out the key from his pocket.

"Whatever but look after it. If you loose that key, we'll be stuck in here." I remind him.

"Ooof!" I collide into Ross' back, "Why'd you stop?"

"There's nothing here." He replies.

"What do you mean?" I look up to see a wall, "Oh."
