Maya's POV
"Riley, is he gonna be here?" I asked my one and only best friend.
"Yes, Maya, my uncle does have to come to our graduation dinner." She told me. I sighed.
"I don't see why you hate him so much, you used to like him," she noted.
"Yeah when we were like 15! We are 18 now, Riles, and I grew out of him."
"Okay peaches." She resigned.
A short while later I saw Josh walk through the door. I wasn't in the mood to fight, so I just avoided him the whole night. Instead I laughed and had a good time with with Lucas, Farkle, and Riley. After all this was our graduation party.

The night was closing in on the end when I heard Cory tap on his glass with a fork to signal he was about to make some kind of announcement.

"Ladies and gentlemen," He began.

"I have an announcement that is about to drastically alter the lives of at least two people in this room." He continued.

"Get on with it, Mr. Matthews!" Ferny called out from the back of the table. That man was always around, wasn't he?

"Alright, Feeny, alright. Josh and Maya, I have arranged an arranged marriage for you two!" He yelled with joy.

"What? But I don't wanna!" I screamed.

"No!" Josh yelled from across the table.

"Yes! No buts except your's down the aisle!" Cory yelled back at us.

"But but but," Josh retorted

"You are such an idiot," I said to him.

"At least I'm normal," He fired back.

"Last I checked idiocy isn't normality." I shot.

"You two! Halt!" Cory shouted at us.

"Dad, you can't just force them to marry each other," Riley said to her father.

"I can and I will." He said back.

"But sir, you know I'm with Maya," Farkle pointed out.

"Yes, and didn't I say a least two lives were gonna be changed?" he reminded us.

"But Farkle is my boyfriend. I love Farkle, not Josh!" I began to get really annoyed when I realized there was no chance that this was a sick and cruel joke.

"Maya Hart you are going to become Maya Matthews and that is final," Cory said and walked out of the room. I turned to Riley.

"Well at least I'm going to be your aunt now," I joked trying to find a bright side.

Later that night Farkle came up to me.

"I guess we're over now." He said looking down at the floor.

"Yeah, I guess we are." I whispered holding back tears.

"I love you Maya," Farkle said looking up into my eyes.

"I love you too Farkle," I said kissing him on the lips for the last time.

"C'mon Maya, it's time to go to bed," Riley said softly as she walked into the room.
