I'll take it!

Maya's POV

"You stupid idiot, now the couch is sticky" I said to Josh in the morning. I just wanted to put all thoughts of last night out of my mind. It was one thing to have not told me the whole story and let me blame him. If it was just that, I might have forgiven him. But it was another thing to let it turn into a hatred and to let it destroy us. And yet another thing to on top of it all call me stupid.

"Maya, I'm sorry about last night. I'm sorry about everything." He said.

"We may have to pretend we can be married when there are people, but when we're alone we can drop the act, okay?" I said to him.

"Maya.. I really am sorry." He said again. 

"Just clean the couch." I told him.

There was a knock at the door and I left to go answer it.

"Hey honey, we need to talk to you and Josh." Topanga said.

"Yeah, sure. He's cleaning the couch." I told them. She exchanged a look with my mother as if she had no clue what cleaning the couch meant.

"Come on in." I said leading them over to where Josh was.

"Hey, what's up?" Josh asked.

"We need to talk wedding details with you two." My mom said.

"Go for it,"Josh told them.

"First of all, we need to set a a date." said Topanga.

"September." I said at the same time Josh said "July."

I glared at Josh.

"I guess September is okay too,"He mumbled 

Josh's POV

"So what date in September?" Katy asked.

"23rd" I suggested before Maya could.

"No, the 6th." Maya overruled, and the glared at me until I subsided.

We talked about indoors vs outdoors, and Maya won with indoors. We talked themes, and yet again Maya got what she wanted with an art theme. I was starting to get annoyed. I didn't want this wedding anymore than she did, but it was still my wedding too. I thought I should get at least one thing I wanted. 

"Alright! That's it! I draw the line at cake! I should get my way for at least A FEW of these things!" I exclaimed.

"Okay, Josh, who are your groomsmen gonna be?" Topanga asked.

"Uhmmm.... Well the Best Man is gonna be Cory, then the others can be Shawn, Farkle, Lucas, and.... I guess I have to put Eric in this thing, so Eric." 

"And if we're on this, my maid of honor is gonna be Riley, and the bridesmaids can be Smackle, Topanga, and mom." Maya said.

"Perfect. Now that we know who they're gonna be, we can go shopping for bridesmaids dresses and such. Speaking of, clear your calendars for today, we're going wedding dress shopping!" Topanga exclaimed.

"Me too?" I asked.

"No, you aren't supposed to see the dress before the wedding." Katy explained.

"So who is going?" Maya asked.

"You, obviously, Riley,me, your mother, and if they guys want, they can come." Topanga said.

Maya's POV

Riley, Topanga, my mother, Smackle, Cory, Shawn, Feeny, Lucas, Farkle, and I all piled into Cory's car and headed to the wedding dress store.

I looked through hundreds of dresses before picking two to try on. They were carried to the changing room and I put on dress number one.

It was strapless and tight to my body up top then flowed out to create a slightly poofed out skirt on bottom with a short train behind. It didn't have sequins or anything  too girly like that, although there was a kind of abstract swirl pattern stitched into the edges of the top, in a light brown color that didn't stand out, from afar, but up close looked beautiful which attracted me to the dress. The dress itself was more of a very light cream white rather than pure white. 

I opened the curtain and walked out. The response was amazing.

"You look gorgeous, Maya." My mother said

"Beautiful" Topanga added.

"You look really pretty, Maya," said Lucas.

"Amazing dress," said Farkle, who had moved on from me with Smackle, who was nodding in agreement with what he said.

"Even if you are marrying a guy you don't want to, that dress makes you literally shine," Riley told me.

"All of this makes me so happy!" Cory said, elated.

"Maya, I have no words. Don't even try on the other dress. This is the one. I love it." Shawn said to me. It was his comment, even more than Riley's, that made me say,

"I'll take it!"
