Emily's POV:
I arrive at the clinic and walk inside the building. As I thought Maya was waiting for me.
"Babe you're here!" She says while hugging me.
"Maya stop we have been over this." I say while removing her from me.
"Ms.St.Germain?" The doctor asks.
We then walk up behind her and follow her into a room. Maya lays down on the bed smiling at me. After the doctor applied the gel, Maya reached for my hand. I didn't move it because I have to support her with the baby. We then see a tiny little figure in the monitor. I can't help but smile at the thought of the baby.
"So far the baby seems to be fine!" The lady doctor says.
"When can we find out the sex of the baby?" I ask.
"Well I have set the appointment exactly when we can find out, so on the next appointment you will know." The doctor says.
"Okay thank you." I reply.
After going over some things about the pregnancy we are finally finished. I walk out but Maya instantly grabs my hand.
"Thank you Emily for being here." She says.
"No problem it's what I have to do." I say.
"Can we go for coffee please." Maya says.
"Um I can't I have to go back to work." I say.
"Are you lying to me Emily?"
"No I really have to go back to work." I say.
"Emily your dad is the chief so it won't be a problem." She says.
"That's why it is, he is the chief so I have to set a good example Maya."
"Just this time please!"
"I can't maybe next time." I say.
"Fine Emily whatever." She says while walking away.
I watch as she leaves the parking lot all mad. She is furious with me only because I didn't want to have coffee with her. Anyways she's mad meaning she can do anything. I can't let her get in any kind of accident. Ugh I guess I have to go after her. I rush to my car and drive off following behind her.
Where is she driving to anyways, she doesn't live around this place. I keep on driving and stop my car once she gets out. She walks up to the apartment and I follow her. From what I see she's still mad. She can't see me because I'm around the corner.
"Open the damn door!" She yells while hitting the door.
"Ugh Maya what do you want?" A guy says while looking at her.
"Really what do I want? You should know what I want!" She yells.
"Maya I don't care!" He says.
"Really you don't care about this baby that I'm carrying. That also happens to be yours!" She says.
Woah did she just said that the baby is his. So it's not mine but why is she lying to me about it.
"I thought that chick of your's was going to take care of the baby." He says.
"She is but she doesn't want anything to do with me! Now at least you have to take responsibility too!" She says.
"No I'm not going to!" He says.
"Yes you are!"
"No I'm not!" He yells.
"You are going to take care of this baby because it's yours!" She yells back.
