Dallon's POV

She had seemed a bit off I guess, and I'm suddenly worried that what we have will end soon. We all have our flaws and sometimes even what's great about a person isn't enough to keep someone they love with them, it's inevitable.

Truth: Nothing good ever lasts.

I still went to Brendon's for lunch due to having nothing here and not feeling up to going to buy something. Lunch mainly consisted of small talk about studio hours between Brendon and I and then more important matters like what Sarah should cook for dinner. I failed to give Brendon a kick start of talking to Sarah about what he was at my apartment for earlier that day.

"Dallon! I need to stare at the-" Brendon yells as he enters the bedroom, "Oh, sorry. Dallon? A minute?"

"Yeah, I'll be out in a second," I assure him. Brendon nods and closes the door.

"Do all your friend have a key to your apartment?" Merideth laughs.

"Just Brendon and Spencer. They probably made an extra copy for their wives though. Sorry about him, I'll be back in a few," I say and kiss her forehead. I walk out to where Brendon lies on the floor of my living room and join him.

"Do you believe in soul mates? That everyone has someone out there that they're meant to be with and start a family with and be happy with? That we really are suppose to be with a certain person until death does us part?" Brendon asks.

"I believe in lots of things, like we all have a choice of who we are and who is in our lives. Soul mates is something I believe in as well. What's bringing this up?" He pauses as if he doesn't want to say anything more, as if once it's out there it can never go away. He takes a deep breath.

"It's just...maybe Sarah isn't meant to be with me, but I'm meant to be with her. Like there's this other guy out there that is meant to be with her rather than me, but I'm suppose to be with her. Maybe there's that certain group and they just don't get anyone. Maybe I'm in that group..."

"If you were in that group you wouldn't be with Sarah." All he does is shake his head because I'm sure I'm not understanding this as he is. "What's bringing this up? Is Sarah being distant or something?"

"No, Sarah seems to be in love with me. It's all how it's always been. Some people are just really good at acting," Brendon whispers and stands up, "Sorry I came over unannounced, I wasn't thinking I just needed to at least get it out there. Thank you."

And then he left, I didn't get another word in but I'm sure he understands that he needs to talk to Sarah.

Is 7 okay?

Perfect, see you soon.

Except now it's almost eight and Brendon, Sarah, Spencer, Linda, and I are sitting at the table avoiding the topic of Merideth as she never showed up and we're all just about done eating. I've been avoiding the thought of it so it's great that we're all on the same page.

"Okay Dallon, instead of you getting a full drum set in your apartment because you made the great case that you don't play drums, I'll settle for just a box drum and tambourine," Spencer says after a few moments of silence.
