Chapter 17: An Old Friend

Your pov
You wake up and see that you are back at Mark's house. Hope flutters in your chest. 'Was it all a dream?' You ask yourself. You get up and go to Marks room. Only to find no one there. You go into the living room, and see someone on the couch. Without thinking, you run over and hug him. He sits up without hugging you back. 'Something is wrong...' You think. You look up to see Jack, not Mark. You start crying again. "I'm sorry." Jack says. "I...w-want to g-go back to the h-hospital..." You say. Jack nods and takes you. Mark is still in intensive care, so you aren't allowed to see him. After about an hour, you hear footsteps coming towards you. "Y/N?" A girl's voice says. You look up. The girl is your age and has shoulder length dirty blonde hair. She has greyish blue eyes and freckles. She's wearing a Markiplier shirt, (picture above) black leggings, and black combat boots. "W-who are you.. And what do you want?" You ask a bit harshly. "You mean, you don't remember me? Y/n... We've been friends since kindergarten!" She says. You stare at her. "Wait... ANNIKA?!" You half shout. "YEAH!" She shouts back. You jump up and hug her. "I haven't seen you since, what? Collage?" You ask. "Yep." She replies. "I... Heard what happened...." She started. You started crying again. "It's my fault!" You cry. "No! It isn't! That, I can promise you! Tell me, did you want it to happen?" Annika asked. "No! Never!" You cry. "Did you know, 100% sure, that it was going to happen?" She asks. "No..." You say softly. "Then, it wasn't your fault!" She insists. "Now," She says. "To make you feel better..." She starts.
