Chapter 2: Pumas and Peridot

"I'm just saying Olivia that if there was a fight between a puma and a warthog the puma would win." Hong says checking the edge on his ax for the millionth time.

"No way Hong a warthog has a tough skin so it could take the hits and then impale it."

"Actually a puma's fighting style is like ours hit hard hit often so if it just thinks to hit the same spot over and over while dodging those tusks it could kill it."

"Game, set, match Hong sorry sis." Ember says from across the train. "Now can we get back to finding number four we only have three stops until we reach Beacon and little red riding hood"

"Fair enough alright people we split up search this thing meet back in five ready three two one go!" They all zip off Ember to the back Olivia up front and Hong outside.

They all return and look at each other

"Nope"

"Nada"

"El Zilcho"

"Hey we're nearing a stop maybe we can find someone there." Ember says.

"I doubt that I only saw one person female wearing a hat." Hong replies. They approach the stop and the doors open and she walks in. Ember takes a quick sniff and instantly she double taps Olivia who looks at her as she makes an odd symbol and points at the hat. She gives a slight nod then rushes over and grabs the hat to reveal the girls snow white bunny ears.

"Hey give that back!" She attempts to grab it but Olivia easily dodges out of the way.

"Why you trying to hide your heritage March Hare?" Hong asks

"One that is not my name it is Peridot two I am scared." She says

"One hi Peridot I'm Hong our resident thief behind you is Olivia and the girl who instantly found out who you were is Ember." They give a wave respectively "Two I'm guessing that it is because humans abuse you?"

"Yes how could you tell you're human?" Hong gives her an evil smirk and then he slowly unfolds his wings. "My god they're beautiful." She says staring in awe.

"Thanks I try to keep them clean." Just then the door opens to reveal five beef cakes.

"Oh look who got on, a little play bunny." One of them says with a smirk.

Another one steps up "Hey little bunny why don't you come 'play' with us?" He gives a chuckle as she shakes her head no.

"Come on we don't want to have to hurt you." He starts walking closer but then Ember stands up and has the man in a simple arm lock.

"The lady said no." She growls menacingly.

"Who are you her protector?" One of them scoffs.

"No a friend."

"I don't have time for this!" One of them pulls out a pistol and aims it right at Ember's head but instantly Olivia is there and performs a sweep to disarm the guy and then hits him square in the nose with a reverse punch.

"Right then was hoping it wouldn't have to come to this" Hong groans as he pulls out rising sun and elongates it into battle ax mode. He looks back to see her wielding two dust shotguns. "Not the best choice for this bunny." She then pulls on the hooks transforming them into short swords. "Better, Ember subdue!" She jabs at the guys head and he's out cold. Meanwhile Olivia is in a fight with a long swordsman who comes down with a diagonal strike which she easily blocks and gives him a small grin.

"I'll take this." She says as she pulls his sword and kicks him in the gut then instantly subdues one charging her.

"They have this taken care of." Hong says. Then one of the subdued men looks up to see Peridot and Hong standing there and he raises his gun and takes a shot at them. Hong sensing danger through his aura grabs Peridot pulls her in and tucks his wings into a dome. The shot hits but instantly drops Olivia and Ember easily take care of the last few idiots and look over to see that Hong and Peri are fine.

Peridot looks at Hong in shock. "What was that?"

"Oh, I have the ability to solidify my wings to take almost any hit not my semblance but a helpful ability."

"Why did you guys help me?"

"Those men were going to rape you and the three of us think that that is not ok and we protect our own. So how come you're coming to Beacon early?" Ember asks.

"Oh I wanted to figure out the layout of the school so I don't get lost. What about you guys?"

"We are visiting an old friend that we have not physically seen in two years." Hong replies.

"Oh that's got to be nice."

"Just one more question Peridot. Would you like to join our team?"

"I thought that they were picked at random." She says a confused look on her face.

"Oh they are but none of us want to try to meet someone new and you seem like an okay girl. By the way here is your hat back."Olivia says passing the hat over.

"And the rest of it sis." She glares at her but then proceeds to pull out thirty lien a glass jar of yellow dust crystal and a pair of bra and panties which Peridot instantly grabs and stows making Olivia cackle maniacally.

"I'm in." Peridot says still blushing furiously.
