CH 22 More Backstory

"Halt this is a restricted command base identify yourself."

"Override command Dusty Qrow."

"Command denied you don't have access to this facility."

"Looks like I found it." He pulls out a lightning dust crystal and throws it in between the two security drones. Two arcs of lightning come up and takes them out.

Qrow walks past and enters the facility. He instantly starts being careful he reaches a room and peers in to see a group of people staring at a tv playing a training video. "What the hell. Oz you seeing this?"

"Yes keep searching we need to find who's in charge."

"Roger that." He rushes past and reaches a central area he quickly climbs up to a platform and walks around he hears a set of voices.

"What is the status of this batch?" A man's voice says from below.

"Five failures already." A woman's voice responds.

"Damnit we are missing something to keep them going."

"That's Ironwood and Winter." Qrow whispers.

"Yes put an end to this Qrow." Ozpin says somber.

Qrow drops down in front of them. "This is wrong you need to stop this James."

"Qrow! You weren't supposed to see this until..."

"Until what? You had mindless soldiers I'm shutting this down!" He starts to run in the opposite direction.

"Winter stop him!" Ironwood orders. She nods and goes shooting after him. All of a sudden he whips around and hits Winter in the throat and she falls asleep.

"Guards!" Multiple soldiers appear and surround Qrow. Qrow smirks and jumps up as they open fire. He then pulls out multiple explosives and starts sticking them on the structure.

"Everyone clear the facility!" Ironwood orders as he grabs Winter and heads towards an escape pod. A glaring red light appears and everything starts shutting down.

"Shit!" He starts running clearing people out. He then sees a kid looking at a metal beam.

"Momma momma!" He yells tears welling up in his eyes. Qrow notices wings just starting to grow out of his back.

"I'm sorry kid but let's get you out your mom wouldn't want you trying to get yourself killed." The little guy nods and Qrow picks him up. They run outside and Qrow looks for Ironwood and Winter. "Damn it! I lost them Ozpin."

"Well it shouldn't be too hard to find them." A rumble occurs underneath Qrows feet and he turns around to see the facility collapsing in on itself.

"Momma." The boy whispers.

"Shhh shhh it's ok it's ok. Ozpin I'm going to need a transport here quickly at least two prison transport and one normal transport."

"Got it they are on your way."

"What's your name little guy?"

"Hong." He says quietly.

"Well Hong you are going to a new home now."

"Will there be other people there?"

"More than likely."

"That would be nice."
