Chapter 4 Convincing and plotting

As always Hong wakes up as the sun rises and cooks breakfast for everyone having found out what everyone else prefers. The smell of food awakens his friends and they all come stumbling in to be greeted by mugs of tea or coffee.

"Done in 5." Hong says flipping a pancake.

"What smells so amazing?" Weiss asks

"That would be my special blend of spices Ice Queen."

"You guys are in for a real treat today I haven't had Hong's cooking since Christmas." Ruby says practically drooling.

"There is no way it is that good." Weiss says.

"Taste for yourself." Hong says as he walks by her setting plates down. Weiss takes a bite and her eyes light up.

"Holy shit this is amazing. How do you do that?"

"Chef's secret." Hong says grinning.

Blake looks up from her plate and at Hong "How long have you been up Hong?"

Ruby Olivia Ember Yang and Hong reply in unison."With the rising sun." They hear a soft thud and they all look at a tube that has just delivered that mornings announcements.

Dear Students,

I would like to remind you that classes start in 5 days so start trying to get up early please. I would also like to remind you that the end of summer dance is in 3 days and would like to see you all there.

Hong passes the letter around chuckling a little. It reaches Ruby and she reads through it and she instantly looks up. "You're going"

"No I'm not you know how I am at dances."

"Yes that's why you should come you just need more practice."

~Several minutes of arguing later~

"All right fine but don't expect me to socialize."

"That's probably the best I'm going to get out of you all right everyone meet down in Vale 1 hour don't be late." She goes running off to go change into actual clothes.

Everyone is confused except Olivia Ember and Yang. "What just happened?" Pyrrha asks.

"Oh it's a long going thing Hong does not usually do good with strangers especially at dances. Who was that guy you killed Hong?" Ember asks.

"Oh some rich kid whose dad then sued me but thanks to our RIA I was able to counter it with his child trafficking."

"All right but two questions. One don't you think that is a little excessive? Two what the hell is the RIA?" Jaune asks.

"Answer one not where my friends are concerned he was trying to get Ember to have sex with him and he would not back off. Answer two RIA is not a what it is a who and that would be Olivia she is one of the best in the business."
