Chapter 17: Back to normal

Paige’s POV

I’m so glad that I am alive and that Niall is still with me. I knew he wouldn’t be okay if something had happened to me. I can’t hurt him by leaving him because we made a promise to each other that we would be together forever and always. I don’t want to break my promise to him. We are each other’s everything and forever. I don’t know how we would spend our lives if we were ever apart or separated. I was staring into his beautiful eyes when he said he wanted to talk about something. He was so quiet and I could tell he was nervous. It took him a while to talk so I initiated and nudged him and said something first.

“Niall what did you want to talk about?” I asked. “Paige, did you know about your condition before you fell from the stairs?” He asked. “I had a condition? What condition are you talking about Niall?” I asked. What was he talking about? It seemed like he didn’t know what to tell me next. I looked at him while he was trying to get the courage to tell me what he was talking about. “Paige you were pregnant when you fell.” He said slowly and calmly trying to not make me freak out. I was pregnant? How come I don’t remember that I was pregnant? I looked into his eyes and once our eyes met and I knew what he was going to say next. “Niall please tell me that our baby is okay. Tell me that our baby survived my fall. Please tell me we didn’t lose our baby.” I said. “I’m sorry baby. I wish I could tell you all those things but we lost our baby.” He said slowly tearing. I couldn’t be so calm anymore. I lost my baby. I didn’t even remember I had a baby and now my baby is gone! “It’s okay we will get through this together.” Niall assured me. “You always say that you will protect me and that everything is going to be okay! It’s not going to be okay! Your fan pushed me and now we lost our baby! We lost our baby Niall!” I yelled at him. I saw the hurt in his eyes and I just wanted to take everything I said back but I couldn’t. “I know it is my fault and that is why I’m letting you go. I don’t want to cause you anymore pain by being with me so I decided to let you go and never bother or harm you again.” He said crying. What the hell was he talking about? “Niall! No! Please don’t leave me! I need you here with me! You said you would never leave me! Don’t break your promise Niall. I need you now more than ever. I love you. Don’t leave me all alone. We are in this together. I know it’s not your fault and I am sorry for snapping at you. I was just upset. Please don’t leave.” I said crying holding his hand. “I’m sorry baby. You are right. We need to stay together. I am not leaving you. We will get through this.” He said. “Niall promise me something.” I said. He nodded. “Bring back One Direction when we are all settled in at home.” I said. “No I am not putting you at risk.” He said. “Niall please do what I say. It makes you happy and I want to always see you happy.” I said. “You are what makes me happy and you know that.” He said. “I know but I know you will be perfectly happy with the three things you love most which are both of our families and friends, One Direction, and me.” I said. He finally nodded and agreed to do what I say.

A couple of weeks later I finally left the hospital and I could walk again. Today we were going to share what happened and also announce that One Direction is coming back. Everyone was shocked and upset when they left but some still had their hopes up that they will be back. We got ready and left the interview.

“Hey everyone. With me today is Paige O’Loughlin and Niall Horan!” He said and everyone cheered. “Hello everyone.” Niall and I said in unison. “First of all everyone just wanted to say that we are all glad you have recovered and doing well Paige.” He said. “Thank you so much. It means a lot that there are still some people out there hoping and wishing for me safety and recovery.” I said smiling. “Please share what you were supposed to announce that evening.” He said. “Well, Niall and I were going to announce that we were going to have a baby.” I said slowly and clearly. Everyone was shocked. “Where is this baby?” The interviewer asked. “Sadly we lost the baby when Paige got pushed that night.” Niall said trying not to cry. More questions were asked and we answered them. The interviewer saw how hard it was getting for us to answer any more questions about what happened so he asked us about our announcement after the break.

“Hey everyone we are back with Paige and Niall. We all heard that they had a big announcement for us today so let us all listen up. “I just wanted to announce that El, Claire and I are going to open a clothing shop here in London and we will post more updates soon.” Paige said. Everyone clapped and cheered. “Niall’s news is a little bigger than mine.” I giggled and everyone else laughed. “Well I would rather show you.” He said and signaled for the boys to come out. Everyone started to yell. “We are back.” The boys said in unison and started to sing a song.

Circles we going in circles dizzy is all it makes us we know where it takes us we’ve been before closer maybe looking closer there’s more to discover find out what went wrong with out blaming each other think that we got more time when we’re falling behind got to make up my mind or else we’ll play, play, play all the same old games and we wait, wait, wait for the hand to change and we take, take, take it for granted that will be the same but we’re making all the same mistakes wake up we both need to wake up maybe if we face up to this we can make it through this closer maybe we’ll be closer stronger than we were before yeah maybe something more yeah think that we got more time when we’re falling behind got to make up my mind or else we’ll play, play, play all the same old games and we wait, wait, wait for the hand to change and we take, take, take it for granted that will be the same but we’re making all the same mistakes yeah, yeah that’s what crazy years when it’s broken you say there’s nothing to fix and you pray, pray, pray that everything will be okay while you’re making all the same mistakes don’t look back but if we don’t look back we’re only learning things how to make all the same mistakes again so we’ll play, play, play all the same old games and we wait, wait, wait for the hand to change and we take, take, take it for granted that will be the same but we’re making all the same mistakes yeah, yeah that’s what crazy years when it’s broken you say there’s nothing to fix and you pray, pray, pray that everything will be okay while you’re making all the same mistakes don’t look back but if we don’t look back we’re only learning things how to make all the same mistakes

“This song I dedicate to my baby. Paige and I are glad to have had spent little time with you in her tummy than no time at all. I miss you little one. I wish we saw you grow up or even know your gender. No matter what Mommy and I will always remember you.” Niall said softly.

“One Direction is back for more.” Niall said. “We just hope no more accidents happen to our loved ones that are cause by fans.” Liam said. “We are glad to be back.” Louis said smiling. “We love you all.” Zayn said. “Thank you for the support and especially thanks to our family, friends, and girlfriends.” Harry said ending the interview.
