I took a deep breath.
I hesitated before firmly knocking on the door.
I straightened up, and shut my eyes to breath once more.
The door opened with a creek, and I opened my eyes.
"(Y/n)...?" She practically fell into me and hugged me tight.
She stood back but put both her hands on my face.
"H-how are you doing?" She seemed slightly teary eyed.
I shrugged and sighed.
"I'm okay... How are you?" I shot my head up to flash her a re assuring smile. I sniffed to hold back tears.
She shrugged too and we both chuckled.
"Please, come in."
I followed the middle aged woman into her house.
"Would you like a coffee... Tea...?" She signalled me to the couch.
"No thank you." I smiled and tried to get comfy on this couch which seemed much more comfortable when Felix was around.
"How is the rest of the family?" I looked down.
"We're pushing through."
I nodded and awkwardly continued to stare at the floor. I couldn't deal with the pictures of Felix scattered around the house.
"U-uh... I came here for Felix's computer... I need to tell Marzia..."
She looked at me confused.
"Marzia?"
Felix and her weren't together... Although they both definitely liked each other, why would he tell his mother?
"Felix was talking to an Italian girl online. They really liked eachother... But they weren't together, so that's probably why he didn't mention her. They were very close... And it's important that she knows..."
Felix's mother nodded and left the room returning with a box that said "Electronics". They were already boxing up his belongings.
She set it down on the coffee table in front of me, and I went through it, to find his razor laptop at the very bottom.
I opened it and typed in his password.
I clicked Skype, which was luckily still logged in.
Marzia Bisognin was his only contact.
I noticed all the messages she sent to him over the past couple weeks. I didn't read them, as I was looking for some better way to reach her.
I did notice Felix's mother over my shoulder, tearing up at Marzia's "where are you? Are you okay? Text me. I miss you."
It didn't take me long to find her email.
It was under Felix's email, but it didn't matter.
"Hello,
My name is (y/n), you may remember me from one of Felix's Skype calls. I have some very unfortunate news, that I can't express enough just how hard this is to tell you. A few weeks ago, Felix and I were in a motorcycle accident. We were both rushed to hospital, and Felix passed away peacefully the next morning, surrounded by family, friends, and all the love he could get. I was in a coma up until last night, otherwise I would have contacted you sooner. I'm so sorry.
-(y/n) (y/l/n)"
I clicked send.
Felix's mother put her hand on my shoulder, as my head dropped into my hands.
