"Blister! Dyvahn!" A girl's voice shouted angrily.

The weight on Zoe lifted and she instantly brought her face out of the water. Dyvahn stood in front of her, a small knife in hand. There were squawks behind her.

"Back off tough guy," Dyvahn told his dragon as he placed the knife in a holster on his belt.

Blister appeared in Zoe's peripheral view. He was backing away slowly, head held high. Zoe cowered away from Dyvahn and his dragon and bumped into something behind her. Petunia's beak rubbed against her hand. Zoe turned to her dragon. There was a scratch on her chest. It oozed blood.

"Petunia!" Zoe feel to her knees and splashed water on her dragon's chest.

Petunia rested her chin on Zoe's shoulder and purred .

"What are you doing here, and who are you?" Dyvahn growled behind her.

Zoe ignored him and kept her attention focused on Petunia, "Turn around."

Petunia did as told, water sloshing around her talons. Zoe checked every scale as her dragon turned. Water dripped from her feathers, but nothing else seemed damaged. Her dragon finished turning and looked behind Zoe, ears shoved forward.

"I'm sorry," Alicia's voice echoed, "We aren't used to guests."

Zoe turned around. The cave opened into a large room with a small amount of light shining through a miniscule hole in the ceiling. Dyvahn was leaning against the wall next to Blister, whispering to his dragon. Dagger was at the edge of the water, sniffing in their direction. Alicia stood next to him with a hand on her hip.

"You don't seem like a guest that's out to kill us, come on in." She said and turned towards Dyvahn.

Zoe approached the room cautiously with a hand behind her holding Petunia's reins. Alicia was moving her hands and mumbling something at Dyvahn.

He sneered, "Sorry I was protecting us."

Alicia sighed. Zoe just smiled and nodded. Petunia's ears rotated around. She looked in each direction.

"You haven't said much," Alicia stated.

"What's with your dragon?" Dyvahn pointed at Petunia.

Petunia snorted. It echoed throughout the room. Her dragon's ears perked up and her white tail wagged.

"She's albino, right?" Alicia watched the JungleDragon.

"Right. How'd you know that?" Zoe turned and pat Petunia's snout.

Alicia smiled, "I trained an albino SaltDragon, Piranha."

"You're a trainer?" Images of the man flashed in Zoe's head.

"I was, why?" Alicia pet her dragon.

"The trainer for my tribe didn't really care for the dragons, just his money."

Alicia shook her head, "That sounds horrible."

"What's a SaltDragon?"

"They're RiverDragons evolved for the ocean." Alicia stated blatantly.

"RiverTribe?" Zoe glanced at Dagger, the FireDragon.

"I lived in the RiverTribe for sixteen years before I became a messenger. Dagger found his way to me and we clicked." She smiled and rubbed her dragon's neck, and he purred.

Zoe studied the brace on Alicia's dragon's ankle,"You found him like that?"

Alicia hesitated, then nodded. Dyvahn snorted.
