Chapter 8: Nothing To Be Sorry About

''If I would have never had started talking to him none of this would have happened,'' Gwen said, finishing her sentence.

''Babe you didn't know what he was doing. He tricked you playing victim and you wanted to help him. It's not your fault, okay?'', I said.

''Okay, I love you, Loki,'' she said, hugging me tight.

''I love you too, Gwen. I don't want you worrying about anything because we are going to catch him and end this,'' I said. She nodded her head and I hugged her closer.

''Go to sleep,baby. One of the pack members are guarding the door, so you'll be safe. I'm going to go downstairs so we can come up with a plan. I love you and kiss the kids for me,'' I said.

''Okay, Loki. And I will,'' she said. I kissed her on her forehead before leaving out.

Gwen's P.O.V.

It was early in the morning and Loki still wasn't back. I was beginning to worry. The kids were still sleeping peacefully, I knew the run probably tired them out. I stroked Liam's blonde curly hair out of his face and sighed. I guess the best thing for me to do right now was sleep. So that's exactly what I did.

When I woke up in the morning Loki was in bed awake.

''Good Morning, Gwen,'' Loki said.

''Good morning, Loki. Did you guys come up with a plan?'', I asked.

''Yeah, but I'm not sure if your going to like it,'' he said. I looked at him, gesturing for him to continue.

''We aren't going to wait for him, we are going to him. While we are doing that a few pack members will stay here to be on the look out and to watch over you and the children,'' he said.

''So you want us to stay here without you?'', I asked.

''I don't want you guys too, but it's the safest way. I would hate if anything happened to you,'' he said as he stroked my face.

''I don't like it, but if it's what's best then I'll have to deal with it,'' I said.

''Thanks for understanding, Gwen. I love you,'' he said.

''I love you too Loki,'' I said. ''Where did the kids go?'', I asked.

''They are in the playroom,'' he said.

''Babe what if something happens. What if someone tries to take them?'' I asked, getting up.

''Gwen calm down. Mostly everything in Tenson's pack house is underground, they won't get to them. After I leave, you will go underground, all of his best protectors and warriors are down there. You guys will be safe,'' he said.

''Okay. When will you be leaving?'', I asked.

''Tonight,'' he said sadly.

''Do you know when you'll be back?,'' I asked, feeling like I was about to cry. I wanted to be strong so bad, but I couldn't bear the thought of him not being here with me. We were always together even when he irritated the hell out of me.

''I-I'm not sure, Gwen. We'll be gone however long it takes for us to catch him,'' he said. I couldn't control it all my emotions just came out. I busted out crying and Loki held me close.

''Baby, its okay. I'll mind-link you all the time,'' he said.

''It's not the same. I don't want to be difficult, Loki, but I don't want you to go. What if something happens to you,'' I said as I cried harder. Life without Loki was no life at all. I know it sounded pathetic, but it was the truth. Seeing him in the morning brightened my day, hearing his voice lifted my spirits, and his touch made me feel things no other man has ever made me feel.

''Nothing will happen to me, Gwen. When all of this is over, we'll be back home and happy. Everything will be back to normal,'' he said, trying to convince me.

''What if it takes a long time. What if you miss the baby's birth?'' I asked.
''Baby why ask what if. You worry to much and that's not good for the baby. I need you to relax and know that everything will be okay. And if you can't believe it from me, believe it from God. Nothing bad will happen to you,'' he said. I nodded my head and hugged him tighter.

''Now enough sad talk, let's have some fun,'' he said as he nuzzled my neck.

''Loki!'', I giggled.

Loki's P.O.V.

I looked over at Gwen and stroked the hair out of her face. She was sleeping, most likely tired from our multiple love making sessions. It pained me to leave her, especially since she was pregnant. However I knew that it would be for the best. It was the only way to end this once and for all. I kept stroking her face until she woke up. I kissed her on her lips and she kissed me back.

''Let's go shower and then we'll go see the kids,'' I said. She nodded her head and I picked her up and brought her into the shower. After we were done showering we put on some new clothes, courtesy of Tenson. We went into the underground part and saw the kids in the kitchen eating.

''Mama,'' Liam said as he ran over to Gwen.

''I don't get any love, buddy?'' I asked. He came over to me and I hugged him. I wanted to talk to the kids.

''Loki, Luke, Luca, and Lola, come here please,'' I said. They came over and we sat down.

''I just wanted to let you guys know, that I'm leaving for a bit,'' I said.

''Where you go, Dada?'' Lola asked.

''Somewhere, but you don't need to worry about it. I'll be back before you know it,'' I said.

''Okay,'' Lola said. They all came over and gave me a hug, my sweet little children.

''Now you guys run along and have fun. Make sure you stay with an adult at all times,'' I said. They nodded their heads and went back to the playroom.

Well then, hopefully nothing bad happens to Gwen or Loki. * cue evil laugh*
